Chapter 22 :

At Griffindor Common Room :

So today Hermione will go to Dumbledore's office and look at the memories of Lucius Malfoy. But the question is, how will she get through, without getting caught and how will she identify the memory of Lucius , definitely Dumbledore must have all sorts of protection around it. This will be very tough !

Hermione was biting her lips and thinking of the ways, to get into his office. The door will be charmed, so now she has to think of an alternative. She wished she was an animagus (a rare ability that transforms a witch/wizard into an animal at free will) That would make this a hell lot of easier. Aahh, Think Hermione,Think!! She said to herself.

Then she suddenly thought about Rita Seeker, the reporter of the Daily Prophet. Rita Seeker could get any information out, be it from Hogwarts or from the Ministry of Magic or someone's personal life. She was an animagus - a big blue bettle. Though she is unregistered, Hermione caught her during the Triwizard tournament for eavesdropping. It suddenly clicked her mind... A flying animal could get through the window !! That's it... She has to get into his office through the window. But how ??

Great, she is afraid of heights! How will she get in, through the window? She saw Harry's Broom. Oh definitely, she hates flying but at this moment, she had no other option but to fly the broom.

She went to Harry & said, "Hey Harry, I was thinking that I'll get into Dumbledore's office through the window." Harry looked at her, as if she has gone mad... getting through the window implies that she has to fly. But wait she is biting her lips, which means she needs a favor, her eyes were scanning his New Nimbus 2003. Oh hell no, Harry loves his new broom and giving it to Hermione would mean the end of his broom. "Well, could you please lend me your broom.." asked Hermione innocently like a toddler, watching him with gloomy eyes. Harry sighed, girls always use the emotional way to get their work done.
"How can I say NO to you , Mione. Just be careful okay. We have quidditch match approaching in this week. I need my broom in good condition." said Harry, rubbing his temple.

Hermione squealed in happiness and embraced Harry into a hug. "Thank you so much, Harry. I'll take good care of your broom, I promise." said Hermione cheerfully. Just then Ron entered and spoiled the happiness, "What in the world are you gonna do with the broom, Mione ? That's Harry's new broom, we have Quidditch in next few days and you are planning to break it into pieces." Hermione was very offended with his accusation. She knows that her friends underestimate her when it comes to flying broom. She is scared of heights, but she won't break someone's broom, even if she does it accidentally, she will buy them new. "Ronald, I'm scared of heights but I can fly!! And I won't break or lose my friends belongings. I hardly borrow unlike you, who goes on borrowing things from others and don't even remember to return them back" said Hermione in a very irritated voice. Ron really knows how to spoil the mood. He further proved himself again, "Oh really Hermione you can fly ?? Why don't you join us in Quidditch if you have the guts ?" asked Ron smirking. This really pissed Hermione, the anger in her voice made him shiver, "Yes I will join the Griffindor team in Quidditch game! Let's see if you can beat me Ronald Nullius Weasely" and with that she left with Harry's Broom. Both Harry and Ron were dumbstruck, did Hermione really say that she would play Quidditch???

At Malfoy Manor :

"Where is Lucius?? " asked the Dark Lord.
"He left, my lord" hissed Bellatrix Lestrange.

Where could Lucius Malfoy possibly be ? No one in the Manor saw him leaving. Is he hiding from the Dark Lord? Or is he on some secret mission?
