Chapter 39 :
"Yes, she is alive. I'm sorry but I cannot tell you more at this moment. Wait for the right time, Draco." said Hermoine.
"Mione, what happened to Mrs Malfoy. Is this about...." before he could complete, Hermoine stopped him. "Wait Harry. (She turned towards Draco) Do you redeem yourself, Malfoy?" she asked him.
Draco was relieved that his mother is alive. But how does Granger knows? He furrowed his eyebrows in confusion. There is definitely something that she knows...
On the other hand, Redeeming was something that caught him off track. He definitely hated Saint Potter and his sidekick Weasley, but he absolutely loathes The Dark Lord now. That insane half-blood had only caused devastation since his arrival. He not only wants revenge but he want to change his pureblood beliefs. The insanity and the hatred of Dark Lord, made him question all the prejudiced beliefs that his father taught him. Plus getting rid of the bad blood would mean getting rid of Hermoine Granger- the brightest witch of her age, the only person who could stand upto a pureblood arse like him and punch him square on his face, taking his heart away from him. He shuddered at the thought of losing her. No he was determined to protect her and every innocent people. Draco Malfoy is a rich spoiled brat, who tormented many in his past, but he is not a killer. He can't take anybody's life. Merlin, he was barely a 16 year old boy forced to become a death eater. He is not evil and cruel, he has a soft side which no one would know, but he won't let the Dark Lord win this bloody war. He will fight against him. He will redeem himself.
"I will redeem myself. I hate that bloody Dark Lord, I just want him tortured to death. I will do everything I can to help the Order. But Granger, you have to tell me about my mother. Please..." he stated clearly.
"Malfoy, you have to make an unbreakable vow with me. Only then we can trust you properly." she said in a calm voice. Whilst she was thinking about telling him the truth about his mother. That was the most rational decision at this moment, also wise to stop Draco doing something he would later regret.
Draco nodded, "Harry, you will be our witness to the unbreakable vow, now we shall begin with the vow." she said and gestured the two boys to come ahead.
Harry took out his wand and placed it between Hermione's and Draco's hand.
"Today, I- Hermoine Jean Granger and Draco Lucius Malfoy shall bond together in an unbreakable vow
-Do you Draco Lucius Malfoy promise to redeem yourself?
- I do
-Do you promise to fight us against The Dark Lord ?
-I do
-Do you promise to stay by the light side forever?
-I do
-Do you promise that you won't betray us in future?
- I do
With this I complete my unbreakable vow with Draco Lucius Malfoy. The witness of this vow is Harry Potter.
With that the unbreakable vow gets finished
"I believe it's time to tell you the Truth." said Hermoine
