Chapter 47:

"Another goal by Fred Weasely...
Gryffindor with 90 points and Slytherin with 60 points...."

Draco looks around for the snitch, suddenly Hermoine brushed past him.

Draco made his way towards her, "Granger, see me catching the snitch. Bye, bye!" he moved ahead of her.

Hermione huffed in irritation, and followed him quickly, "Not so fast Malfoy! "

They both brush each other, the snitch moving ahead of them, passing through the stands, they complete two rounds of the ground. The snitch then made it's way high in the air.

They heard a yell from Slytherin Captain, "Malfoy, get the snitch! We'll take care of the Mudblood"

Draco lost his focus from the snitch as he heard Hermione's scream. Slytherin Captain hit her firebolt with all force. She lost her balance and screamed loudly, catching all the spectators attention.

And just when she was falling from her broom, Hermoine could feel the Earth's gravity pulling her down and embracing her with the ground....
She was falling from 10000 feet......
All she could hear was the rustling of the wind, as she was about to touch the ground with a huge thud......
The wind beneath her hummed and feathered as a protective layer.

Everything was suddenly quiet, all the spectators were astounded by what they saw. Truly it was a miracle!

Draco quickly followed her, without looking back at the snitch which he could have easily caught.

Harry, Ginny, Ron , Neville and other Gryffindors screamed, "HERMIONE"

The coach whistled and stopped the game.
All the Gryffindor team mates made their way to Hermione.

"Mione??"
"Oh my god!!"
"Are you okay?"
"Have some water"
"Don't panic Mione"

"Get away! Let me see Miss Granger" the coach made her way towards Hermoine.

"Miss Granger..."

"I'm fine" she said weakly.

"I suggest you to go to the hospital wing now. You have fallen from a 10000 feet, you need..."

"No, professor please. I want to play. I'm fine" she replied.

"Mione, please..." Harry pleads her

"No, please let me play. I'm fine." She said.

"Miss Granger" they hear Dumbledore's voice.

Everyone suddenly becomes quiet. All eyes were upon Dumbeldore.

"Miss Granger, are you injured?" He asked

Hermione was totally irritated by the same question, she politely yet stubbornly replies, "Yes professor, I'm absolutely fine. Please, let me play. I refuse to leave."

"Miss Granger, if you so desire to continue, I cannot stop you. But before that, I'm curious to know how did you manage, after falling from such a height?"

"Wandless magic, sir"

As soon as she said, everyone's jaw's dropped. Only few and powerful wizards like Dumbledore and Grindelwald were capable of wandless magic, not to forget Voldemort himself.

"I'm truly amazed Miss Granger. You are indeed, one of the brightest witch of the generation." He genuinely appreciated her.

All the Gryffindors proudly looked towards Hermione. Even the Ravenclaw's, Hufflepuff's and few Slytherin's were looking admirably towards her with renewed respect for the brightest witch.

Draco was truly speechless, his heart was in his mouth when he heard her screaming and falling down. But Hermoine Granger is a gem, she saved herself with her presence of mind and wandless magic! He felt proud of her.

Dumbeldore cleared his throat, "Slytherin's Captain- is banned from playing Quidditch matches henceforth. Anyone using foul play would next be expelled from Hogwarts too. It nearly costed a student's life today. I hope, this will be a lesson for each and everyone of you. And I'm truly disappointed by Slytherin.... Professor Snape, you can take action against the Captain. And yes, 100 points deducted from Slytherin"

Everyone other than the Slytherin's grinned at his words.

George and Fred high fived. Ron and Harry smirked. Ginny and Katie were squealing in happiness.

Hermione and Draco just looked at each other deeply. Without actually speaking, their eyes were talking to each other, that no one could notice.

Truly the way lovers talk....
