Chapter 28 :
"I think Muggles will be the best option "
There was pin drop silence in the room. Everyone in the room were stunned. Prof Snape finally breaks the silence, "Pardon"
Dumbledore was now smiling, "Excellent Minerva ! Indeed muggles will be the best option "
Lucius and Prof Snape had no idea what they were thinking. Seeing the confused faces of them, Dumbledore said "Minerva meant that it will be safe for Narissca Malfoy to stay with the Muggles." Lucius eyes nearly bulged out from their sockets. His mouth was hanging wide open. "You mean the Mud... Muggles? How can you say that she'll be safe with them? " Asked Lucius, who was clearly not satisfied with this.
"Mr Malfoy, I know a Muggle family who are Doctors by profession. The Muggle world advances in medical field and technology, whether you believe it or not, they excel in this field and leave behind the magic world. And no followers of the Dark Lord can trace her there. It will be the safest place for Mrs Malfoy and she can recover quickly there, than being here. I can assure you that. And sorry to say, it will be more civilized of you, if you stop your discrimination with the Muggles and Muggleborns and leave behind your pureblood philosophy and principles." said Prof McGonagall in a stern voice.
Lucius and Prof Snape were dumbfounded. It was very hard for Lucius to leave behind his pureblood ideology and principles. He had hatred for the Muggles, but now things have drastically changed, and if the Muggles can keep his wife safe, then he can also change himself and his Orthodox beliefs.
Dumbledore cleared his throat to gain attention. "I hope this will work. Mr Malfoy how do you plan to get your wife here?" asked Dumbledore, staring at Lucius.
"I have prepared the Omono Potion ( a potion which puts you in coma for 2 days, One shall appear to be dead, if they consume this potion. But they will we woken up after the potion wears off.) If Mrs Malfoy takes this potion, she will appear to be dead for nearly 2 days, so in that time we can shift her body." said Prof Snape.
"That's a good idea, but we have to be more careful.He can't be fooled so easily, so I suggest (pointing Lucius) any one of your house elves to take Mrs Malfoys position. House elf have unique magic than us. They don't need a polyjuice potion to convert themselves into another person. Though you can give them Omono Potion. The Dark Lord, cannot use ligitimacy on house elf's, so that's very safe. And in that time, Mr Malfoy you can apparate Mrs Malfoy with the help of Dobby." said Dumbledore.
"Dobby?? You mean the one who served me before?" asked Lucius who seemed very shock on hearing his old house elf's name.
"Yes, Mr Malfoy!" answered Dumbledore and then called for Dobby.
With a crack , Dobby appeared ,"Dobby is here to help....."
