Juliet

I looked out my window where I saw the big field. The sun was rising and I grabbed my reading book and started to read it as I sat next to the window on a small lift.

I was reading for a good solid hour until my alarm went off. I like to wake up before the alarm to always beat it before it rings.

I started to sing a song until Nova threw a pillow at me.

"I wouldn't mind if you changed the song"

"Come on! It's almost Halloween!" I excitedly said as I shook Nova.

"Fine Fine" She said in despair and got up.

We both took a shower the night before because we both were sweating from the sports the school had put us through.

It was a friday and classes had been canceled but Nova had not known that yet.

"Soo uh classes are canceled today" I said trying to whisper it and avoid eye contact.

"What!" Nova practically screamed it and looked over at the alarm to see what time it was.

"It's only 6 am!"

"Exactly!"

"I thought we could you know practice our sports since i'm so bad at it. I mean like you can teach me!"

"Juliet! I need slumber and youre fine!"Nova said climbing into bed and quickly going back to sleep before I could mutter out another word.

I rolled my eyes as I know for certain that I am horrible at sports. I could not leave this school. I need to stay and if that means practicing on my own then I will.

I quickly put on the P.E clothing and went down the stairs. I scanned my ID to get outside into the field and went across to the cafteria.

" Hello sweetie. What can we get you?" The lunch ladies who basically the only ones who were nice to me expect Nova in this school.

"Just a sandwich please!" I said politely and they smiled and handed me it.

I got out my bag, a water bottle, and sat in the corner eating as I got my book out and read.

Another person also decided to get breakfast this early and entered the cafteria.

I didn't look up as I expected it was a staff member or something.

"Hello Nancy" A familiar voice rang into my eyes as I quickly looked up to see Charlie.

What the hecky becky, why is he here? What if he thinks I'm a weirdo for being up so early? Wait that would make him a weirdo too cause he's here early too.

I grabbed my sweater and tried to cover myself up so he wouldn't think of me as a freak as many people did.

I was there breathing heavily until the light shrone as my sweater was gently taken away.

"Nice seeing you here" Charlie said sitting across from me since this was a two chair table.

I usually don't get this nervous when there are other people around but right there was just two lunch ladies smiling over at us.
