"Ugh" Nova sighed as she tilted her head on the couch.
"What's wrong?" Juliet asked grabbing a apple from the refridgeter.
"My dad's wedding is tomorrow." Nova said sliding off the couch onto the floor.
"I didn't know it was on Christmas." Charlie interfered as he laid down on the coach next to her.
They wanted to be festive I guess." Nova said turning on her side and groaned.
"Plus whats worse is I have to dress up." Nova continued.
Juliet sat on the couch where Charlie was laying down and he put his head on her lap.
Juliet was becoming more comfortable and was loosening up more. She liked not worrying.
"I see you guys are becoming closer." Nova smirked over to them as Juliet rolled her eyes and Charlie smiled.
Juliet smiled down at him though as he looked up to her reaction.
James entered the penthouse with a bag full of presents.
"Hey guys!" He said excitedly as he went over to the christmas tree and set the gifts down.
"Oh my gosh. I forgot to wrap my presents." Nova said rushing out of the room into her room.
"Hey James." Charlie said turning on his side but still on Juliets lap to face him.
"Hey lovebirds." James exclaimed tossing christmas decorations.
"I see Nova hasn't fully decorated this place some her dad is staying in a hotel. She isn't a very festive person I see." James said as Juliet and Charlie started to untangle christmas lights.
"Yeah one time I put a tiny christmas tree in our dorm and the next day it disappeared. I guess she's leaving the tree for all of us." Juliet said as Charlie frowned.
"Do you think something caused her to you know hate Christmas?" Charlie said and Juliet furrowerd her eyebrows.
"I don't know but I hope she's fine with these decorations." Juliet said sympically as James nodded.
Theo was walking through the hallway until he saw Nova was sitting on her bed with her bedroom door opened partially.
Small tear drops was stained on a small photograph frame that Nova was staring at.
"Nova?" Theo said slowly entering the room.
"Theo!" Nova said putting the frame back under her bed.
"What's wrong?" Theo asked saddened, sitting down on her bed.
"Nothing!" Nova responded fiercely.
"Can I see the photo?" Theo asked as Nova nodded.
She reached back under her bed and grabbed the frame to show him.
It was a photograph of Nova, her mom, and her dad all together in front of a christmas tree. Nova had found it trying to find wrapping paper under her bed.
"Is this why you hate holidays now?" Theo asked looking up to see her wipe her tears.
"Not holidays, just christmas. That's the only time that time just stopped you know? My dad and mom stopped working and just enjoyed Christmas. And now I have to 'enjoy' with some lady I barly know." Nova said looking down as Theo wrapped his arms around her and hugged her.
"The last thing my mom told me was-" Noba said trying to push back tears.
"I'll be back tomorrow." Nova said remembering her mom closing her bedroom door and leaving to go on the road.
