Juliet's POV
Days passed, and the countdown to the countdown of the new year was approaching. I was merely looking forward to it as I had to take the SATs and more academic tests to secure a place in an ivy league. As if they would take me.
Nova was sitting across me, writing in a journal that she let no one read under any circumstances. The coffee shop we were in was nice, it had string lights and flowers all over. The similar smell of caffeine rushed instantly as the employee placed our mugs down.
We thanked her and continued on to what we were doing. I was always curious about what was going on in Novas head. Her thought process often baffled me as she had this personality of not caring but yet caring a lot.
"You writing about the wedding?" I asked as she stopped her writing and shrugged, not willing to tell me.
"Maybe your dad really does love her Novs." I said looking down into my mug as she looked up at me slowly.
"Love? He doesn't know what love is since my mother left." She said looking into the crowded sidewalk of the streets of New York.
"There's love in a bunch of different places. Maybe this is a different kind."
Nova grunted "I doubt it."
She quickly found a way to change the subject and exclaimed " And you Jules? What do you love or should I say who do you love?" Nova smirked as I drank all the coffee in my mug from nervousness.
"You know that's a very uh loaded question."
"Jules, literally everyone in the universe knows that you're particularly in love with him." She said raising her eyebrows as I smiled.
"7 billion people!?" I said laughing as she nodded, laughing too.
"And you Nova? I barley hear anything from you."
Nova suddenly widened her eyes.
"It's a bit complicated." She said as I frowned.
"How so? I mean do you like anyone in our friend group?"
She looked away which meant that she did like somebody in our group. I was pretty fine with it if it wasn't you know Charlie or Theo. If Nova liked Theo even after everything he did to me, I don't know if i'll forgive her or him. I didn't even know if she knew the full story but she knew I was always angry at him.
"Is it Liam!" I said excitedly knowing that he liked her too. Oh if I didn't mention, me and Charlie kept a list of all the times Liam was caught staring over at Nova.

•12:10- Math Class - Liam laying his head on the table, prenteding to sleep, but really just looking over at Nova writing equations.
•4:30- Novas penthouse - Nova eating a slice of pizza and throwing a pepperoni at James face which stuck onto him. This act made Liam laugh which shocked both me and Charlie.
"That's the complicated part" Nova said ready to leave as she grabbed her laptop and journal.
"What do you mean?"
"It's nothing let's just go."
I wasn't to know what it was but i knew with Nova that you just pressure her to tell you something, or she'll explode.

"New year's Eve girls!" James said dancing into the living room of where Juliet and Nova were watching netflix.
"New year new me!" Nova said sarctistacally rolling her eyes at the stupidity of that.
Liam and Charles walked through the front door trying to sneak in through the front door.
