Chapter 3: Mr. Wiggles

To say that the look on Nova's face was bleak was an understatement. She walked down the halls to their first period class, shooting glares at anyone who looked at her for to long. Today was the fist day the schools would be joined, guys were already roaming the halls, and they would get their new schedules today.

The rumor of her and Liam had spread like wildfire, making her hatred for him grow. Juliet didn't know how she felt about what happened between her and Charles, not that anything specially happened, she was just surprised that she let someone she just met in her dorm and studied with him. It wasn't something she would do.

They made their way over to their usual first period where they were to get their new schedules.

The teacher wasn't there yet so the students just sat around talking.

"You're so lucky"

"He's so hot"

"Is he a good kisser?

"Is he good in bed?" The last question made Nova take a double take. All the girls had been asking her about Liam. Juliet had gone to the bathroom and Nova hadn't told her anything yet.

"Don't you people understand that I didn't sleep with him, Ashley is lying" she paused remembering what Liam had said earlier "don't believe everything you hear"

A flash of pink entered Nova's vision, with Juliet trailing behind her.

"Guys Ashley totally made that up because she's clearly jealous of Nova and her popularity" Carlie said in a duh tone. "Plus we all know how manipulative she is, just like her little friend Melanie" Carlie finished and all the girls shrugged and continued to ask Nova questions.

What Carlie said was half true, Nova could be popular if she wanted to, she had the looks, most people liked her and money. But she saw that as overrated and preferred to hang out with Juliet.

Juliet sat next to Nova and whispered "What the heck are they talking about?" Nova sighed

"Nothing that matters" she replied saying the last part louder.

The teacher came in holding a stack of papers and handed out everybody's schedules. Juliet and Nova looked at theirs and saw that they had almost everything together expect for one class and one elective.

"So what were those academically mediocre people gossiping about?"Juliet asked putting her schedule away.

"Well basically, some girl, Ashley, that Liam ditched. Saw me and him walking around after he stood her up and started this whole rumor of us for like revenge I guess and everybody is being ignorant about it." Nova sighed while rolling her eyes at the girls behind them.

"Oh ok, it'll probably drift away in a couple days, just how every gossip does."

Nova nodded and the bell rang, signaling that it was time to change classes.

Juliet and Nova walked to Chemistry and sat on a lab desk. It was a new teacher they didn't have before. He looked pretty young and was fairly good looking.

"Hey kids my name is Mr.Johnson, half of you don't know me but i'll be brief and give you a simple walkthrough." He sat on his desk and put on his glasses "Rule number one you can talk as long as work is done but if I tell you to shut please do. You can curse , not loud enough for it to be heard in the hallway and please guys don't say anything you wouldn't say if girls were here. Which there are. And three, you have a problem with me or the class talk to the principal about it"
