Chapter 18: Sneaking Around

Your POV:

It's been a couple of days since I decided to go out and get wasted with Amy. The thought of that night still made me cringe at how embarrassing I must have been in front of everyone and not to mention Grayson.

I sighed as I unlocked my classroom. I paced across my room and dropped my purse and keys on my desk and glanced at the clock. Of course later than usual considering my hair wouldn't cooperate this morning. I sighed once again as I remembered the struggle I had with my hair this morning.

I went to slip my jacket off my shoulders but quickly put it back on as I realized how cold it actually was in my room. I walked up to the thermostat and sighed at the fact that it was set at a temperature that was considerably lower than I usually have it. As I fixed it the kids began to walk in. I flashed the parents a quick smile as they left quickly to get to work I'm guessing.

All the kids did their usual routine and found their seats. Some did the same thing I did and kept their jackets on and complained to me about the cold. I knew it was gonna be brought up all day. That's how the kids were. They complained about just about everything. Yes it got on my nerves but I could handle it considering I've been teaching for some time now.

Besides the constant complaining the day went by fairly smoothly. The parents picked up their kids with no problem and of course I didn't speak to Grayson. I barely looked at him. I snuck a couple quick glances but that was all.

While I was at his house we made a deal to act like we weren't involved at all in front of people but we'd find ways to see each other outside of school. I didn't mind because all of this could stop in just a month because this school year will be over.

I walked out to my car across the huge parking lot and kept my head down watching my feet hit the pavement and the yellow lines passing by under my feet.

I was almost to my car when I heard a car pull out of a parking space and I looked up to see Grayson's car. My cheeks flushed a little and I snuck him a smile as he drove past me. He returned the smile causing me to look back down and smile even more.

I hopped into my drivers seat and stuck my key in the ignition. I reached behind me and grabbed my seat belt and fastened myself in. I started my car and pealed out of the school parking lot.

On the way home I decided to pick up some food because I didn't feel like cooking. I grabbed some Chinese take out and sat it in my passengers seat for the ride home.

I pulled into my drive way and grabbed the bag full of my food and slung my purse over my shoulder and made my way up my driveway with my keys in hand.

I sat all my food down on my island and my purse on the counter with my phone. I grabbed myself a fork and sat it down next to the bag of food as I began to take all of the food out.

I was getting ready to dig in when my phone buzzed.

Grayson- so when can I see you again? ;)

I smirked down at my food. I couldn't wait to see him.

You- mmmm whenever you're not busy :)

I smiled as I took a bite of my fried rice. With in a couple of minutes my phone buzzed signaling that Grayson responded.

Grayson- what about tonight? My place?

I smiled even bigger.

You- what about Natalie?

Grayson- you can come once I put her down for bed. ;)

You- ok :)

I smiled as I began to shove my food in my face. I was excited to see him even if it was just for a movie at his place. I mean all of this secretive stuff doesn't have to last long. Soon we can go out for dinners and movies.

I finished eating and threw away the takeout boxes and threw my fork in the sink.

I need to shower. I walked up to my bathroom and turned on the warm water. I stripped myself of my clothes and looked down at my legs. I sighed realizing I should probably shave. Who knows what could happen at Grayson's. Just in case right?

I stepped into the stream of warm water and felt my body relax. I washed my hair and picked up my razor. I began to shave my legs and finished about 15 minutes later because I wanted to be thorough.

I turned the water off once I was done and stepped out onto the mat next to the shower. I grabbed my towel and wrapped it tightly around my body and walked to my bathroom closet to find another towel for my hair.

I stepped out of my bathroom wrapped in my towel still and shivered at how cold the rest of the house was compared to the steam filled bathroom.

I wondered to my closet and picked out a pair of jeans and a simple t-shirt. I was just going to his house for a movie so I didn't want to look too fancy.

I slipped on my clothes and began to pay my hair with the towel to prevent my hair from getting my shirt wet. I decided to let my hair air dry considering I'll have plenty of time.

I walked into my bathroom and put on some mascara and a little concealer under my eyes to hide my lack of sleep from planning things for class.

I sighed at myself in the mirror and decided I'd just go downstairs and wait while watching tv. I'll just sit and try to keep myself from checking the time every five minutes which is almost impossible when it comes to seeing Grayson.
