Miles Gone Crazy

We've been exploring for about a week until we finally found something interesting. "There's a house up ahead guys!" It was fall. Red leaves were falling, and there was that nice cool breeze. "Good lets see if it's abandoned." I told them. We ran up to the porch and walked inside. "Shit! Runners!" Jack yelled and reloaded his gun before shooting the charging zombie. There were only a few. I checked upstairs and everything seemed clear. Slowly, I checked each room. One of them interested me. It was a small space, gray walls, with posters up. It reminded me of my room when I was little. I wandered towards the bed and sat down, examining the room. I let out a heavy sigh and heard someone walk in. "You alright?" Miles asked. "Uhh yeah." I said. He walked to me and sat down beside me. He put his arm around me and I rested my head on his shoulder. "You know, you were pretty brave out there." Miles complimented. "Thanks, it's a tough world out there. Got to be able to handle everything." I said sadly. He lifted my chin and my eyes widened. "Yeah, you're a tough, brave, and cute girl." He said and slowly leaned in. My panic reflexes kicked in as I watched my hand in slow motion slap him across his face. He held his face for a moment before speaking "You bitch..." Miles punched me in the face and I fell to the floor. He pinned me and I watched his eyes go blue for a moment "You aren't going to tell anyone about this, aren't you?" He said angrily. I shook my head and swallowed hard. He grinned evilly and said "Good." He got up and walked out of the room. I started shaking until I finally came to my senses. Standing up, it made me feel kind of dizzy. Was Miles possessed or something? He had the blue zombie eyes... but that couldn't be... I walked up to the group. They were all laughing at a joke Jack had made. I cautiously sat down and Miles stared at me. He smiled at me, causing my heart to beat hard in my chest. "Sky, you okay? Is something wrong?" Ray asked me. He noticed I was shaking. I looked at Miles and he shook his head at me. "Yeah, just fine." I managed to get out. Ray gave me a confused look "Alright then." He said and joined back in to the other guys' conversation. I walked out of the room. "I need some fresh air." I mumbled to myself. I stepped outside and took in a few deep breaths, calming myself down a little. Someone walked up behind me and grabbed me hips. I shrieked and fell to the ground. God damn my ticklishness. I turned to see Miles' dead eyes. "Hey there, love." He smirked. "What do you want?" I said. "Just want you to be my girl." He said and winked at me. "No, fuck you. I'm dating Ray. Go complain about it somewhere else." I growled at him. "I love it when your fiesty" he purred "It's a shame Ray got to you first... Unless, I could arrange something." My eyes widened "You wouldn't, you're bluffing." He raised his eyebrow "Me? Bluff? Oh golly, I don't bluff." He laughed "You really do care about Ray, huh?" I nodded. His eyes turned blue again and I screamed. "Good." He smiled.

I tried to get away. I wanted to get out of there so badly. Miles grabbed me after I screamed and punched me to shut me up. I left out another scream, so Miles punched me hard in the stomach. It hurt to breath. The door opened and the guys ran out. "Skylar!" Michael yelled. Miles pulled me in front of him and put a gun to my head. "Don't you fucking dare, or I'll shoot her brains out." Miles warned. The guys slowly put their guns down, all except Ray. "Let her go." Ray said through gritted teeth. "God damn I've always hated you from the start." Miles spewed at him. "Dude what is your deal?" He asked. Miles got angry "MY DEAL?!" His eyes turned blue and he screamed at us "You're in the way of everything!" Miles said to Ray. "Whoa whoa whoa! Just put down the gun and everything will be alright Miles!" Ray said calmly. "I'll let her go... On one condition." He said evilly. "What?" Ray asked. "I'll let her go, if you kill yourself. Otherwise she will die. It's either you or Skylar." "No!" I screamed. "Sky, I'll do it." Ray said after a while. "What the fuck?! No! You can't do this!!!" I screamed back. "It would be better if you lived than me." He said. "No, you can't seriously die!" I argued. I never would forget that look in Ray's eyes as he said those last few words "Go find the cure for me, babe." Before I could say anything else, Miles shot him in the stomach. I screamed and watch Ray slowly fall to the ground. I squirmed my way out of Miles arms and ran to Ray's side. Miles crazy laugh filled my ears as I turned to look in his bloodthirsty blue eyes. He kept laughing and raises his gun and aimed at me. I closed my eyes, waiting for that shot.

BANG.

Huh, guess it doesn't hurt. Wait... I opened my eyes and saw Miles laying on the ground in a pool of blood with Geoff standing over him, holding a gun. "T-thanks Geoff." I sniffled. He picked me up and said "We have to leave now! There's like a million out there!" He pointed and I saw the horde of the monsters. "We can't leave Ray!" I yelled. "He's... gone Sky." I cried into Geoff's shoulder. "We have to leave him!" Geoff told me. I kept refusing, but pretty soon the guys literally dragged me away from the house. I kept screaming for Ray, as we quickly left the house behind, and I was praying. Just praying that what I just saw didn't happen.
