Episode 26

Selena walks into Demi's house, they had arranged to meet up a couple of days ago for today. She makes her way up into her room after she was greeted by Dianna. She swings the door open seeing an empty room, her eyebrow furrows together in confusion, she was sure her mom said she was up here. Her feet take her to stand at the side of her bed seeing a leaflet on the bed, she takes it up in her hands and reads the front 'abortion'. It doesn't take the for all the clues to come together, she remembers Demi telling her that she'd had sex with Joe a couple of nights before she left for vacation and she was off school because she was being sick. She's pregnant and about to get rid of it, her eyes widen trying her best to think of a way to try and stop her. She walked and it will be too far to get to the hospital, she doesn't even have Joe's number to call him. Her eyes wonder to the night stand seeing Demi's phone, she picks it up quickly scrolling through her contacts until it lands on Joe. She hit the call button and brings it up to her ear, after a couple of rings he picks up but she speaks before he could even say hey.

"Joe Demi's pregnant!" Sel exclaims and Joe's eyes widen on the other end.

"What, Sel?" He stammers not knowing what to say.

"Demi told me that you had sex on the beach before you left, she's been sick and I saw a abortion leaflet on her bed! You have to stop her!" Sel says and the line goes dead praying to god he's on his way to the hospital. All she can do now is wait, it being the most agonising wait of her life.

Joe pulls up in a spot not caring that he's in the middle taking up two spots. He jumps out and rushes into the hospital but something stops him in his tracks. He moves his glance over to the bench where his girlfriend is sat there legs up on the bench hugging her knees. His heart shatters into a million pieces knowing she's probably already done it, she's already aborted their child and he wasn't quick enough to stop it. He would be angry but he can't imagine how she is feeling, he just wishes that she would have told him so he could help her through it and tried to convince her not to. He takes a deep breath before making his way over to her taking a seat on the bench next to her, Demi didn't even need to look up to know it was him.

"Demi why didn't you tell me?" He questions as he begins hearing more sobs coming from his girlfriend, something he hates hearing.

"I couldn't do it." She chokes, Joe can't help but smile, that's proof enough to him that she will be a great mom when their child arrives. Joe wraps his arm around her waist pulling her up onto his lap both of his arms around her stopping her from falling off. Demi begins sobbing more into his chest.

"Why are you upset then?" Joe questions kissing the top of his head.

"Because I nearly killed our baby Joe!" She exclaims crying hysterically  into him, Joe just holding her shushing her in an attempt to calm her down, just ignoring all stares their gaining.

Demi pulls away calmed down staying silent but burying her head into his neck, he smiles slightly kissing the top of her head.

"You okay now?" He questions and she nods not feeling completely better but a whole lot better now she's had a good cuddle with Joe. 

"I'm sorry I didn't tell you." Demi says looking down at the floor, Joe sighs and lifts her chin up making her look directly into his eyes.

"You don't have to be sorry Dems, I can't imagine how you were feeling," He begins pecking her lips and moving his hand back down. "The important thing is you didn't do it and that just proves you will make a great mom in 9 months time." Demi can't help but smile and lean up capturing them into a kiss, he kisses back also smiling through it. She can do it, now she knows he will be with her through the whole 9 months. That was her worry, she'd lose her boyfriend she loves so much. Joe pulls away needing some air giving her his famous smile.
