Joe takes a seat down next to Demi hugging her as she buries her head in his cheat as he sees Selena and Taylor leave the room to give them some alone time. Joe can't help but smile at her being back in his arm her head in his chest like they used to do when they were together. Demi had calmed down by now, enough so Joe can tell her what's wrong with their son, she feels bad for Joe knowing he was right her trying to stop him from taking their son to get checked out.

"What's wrong with him?" Demi questions lifting her head up.

"L-leukaemia." Joe stutters making Demi cry harder again, her son has got cancer. She'd already lost her daughter before she even lived now she might lose her son after having four years to bond with him. Joe hugs her tighter holding her more against him not even trying to stop his tears escaping his eyes. They sit there for couple of moments just crying in each other's arms Demi not caring that she is clinging onto her ex boyfriend being the one who broke it off between them. Demi soon settles down again fully not crying anymore.

"Can they cure it?" Demi questions and Joe shrugs.

"We don't know yet but he hasn't shown any signs yet so it must be early, hopefully surgery and chemotherapy will work." Joe states letting her pull away from his embrace.

"How do you think Ollie knew?" Demi questions again Joe not helping but show a hint of a smile.

"I guess it's just a brother thing." Joe states and Demi laughs too leaning up kissing his cheek softly before pulling back.

"Can we go see him?" Demi questions and Joe nods not being able to wipe the smile off his face. They call Demi's mom to ask if she could come over to look after Oliver while they go see their youngest son fighting for his life. They won't tell anyone the news until they know exactly what condition her is in and whether he has a fighting chance.

They reach the hospital Joe leading Demi to where their son is in the children's ward, she can't help but smile at all the doctors greeting Joe. She can still remember when he was still studying to be a doctor, when he could read her first scan picture of their children knowing instantly that there were three in there. They were so small only a doctor would have been able to point that out. They walk through double doors after sanitising their hands Demi trying her best not to cry when she sees her son in a little hospital gown watching TV. She won't cry in-front of him, that will show him that there is something wrong and she doesn't want her son to be scared. Joe takes Demi's hand Demi smiling up at him in a comforting way also showing him that she's thankful for his action. They make their way over smiling when Ashton's face lights up with excitement that his parents are here.

"Momma!" He squeals standing up on the bed, Demi smiles kissing his head gently allowing her son to wrap his arms around her neck and his legs loosely around her waist.

"Hey baby boy." Demi greets pecking his lips.

"Momma why me here?" He questions holding onto Joe's hand wanting comfort from both his parents. Demi sighs adjusting him against her side.

"Sorry baby you'll be here for a while." Demi explains.

"But why." He repeats looking at Joe asking the question to him as well. Demi lays him down on the bed wondering how to tell her four year old son that he has cancer. She lays down next to him Joe laying the other side as demanded by Ashton.

"Your very ill at the moment son but we'll get through it as long as you stay strong." Joe explains Demi smiling at the way he worded it.

"Me don't feel ill." Ashton tells them and they smile.

"You won't at the moment baby, you're on special medication so you're not hurting." Demi explains and Ashton nods laying his head on Demi's shoulder. Joe leans down kissing both their heads as they all lay there in comfortable silence.

Gotta go do some work now, I'll try and update later if I get my work done quicker than expected.
