I Had You At Hello- A Jemi Love Story

Episode 30

Morning :)

Joe pulls up at the hospital climbing out with Demi, he locks the car and makes her way over to him taking hold of her hand. They make their way into the maternity section both very nervous about what is going to happen while they are here. This will be the first time Demi has a scan, she knows after she sees her son or daughter she wouldn't be able to get rid of them. They sign in and makes their way over to the seating area where they take a seat eyes wondering around the room. It looks how you would think a hospital waiting room with posters about how to keep save from infections and such, a table with magazines to read and a big stand with about a dozen different leaflets to pick from most about pregnancy. The only differences here they also sees posters about explaining how to keep your child save during the pregnancy and also when they have arrived. Demi can't help but take notice of the women about in different stages of their pregnancy and even some with their newborn for a check up to see if everything is going alright. She can't help but smile knowing that could be her within a year. Joe looks at her matching her smile once he sees it squeezing her hand tighter which just makes her look up at him, he leans down pressing his lips gently on hers before pulling back again. Demi smiles impossibly wider not wanting him to even leave her side.

"Demi Lovato," The doctor says proudly knowing she managed to convince her not to get rid of her child, Demi smiles and stands up dragging Joe up with her. They follow the doctor into the room where Demi remembers too many bad thoughts but she pushes them away determined to stay happy for this baby's sake. "You must be Joe." The doctor says shaking his hand, Joe nods but stays silent, Demi can still tell he's upset about the previous day, he's not as chatty and jumpy like he usually is. Demi takes a seat up on the bed keeping hold of Joe's hand.

"That's gonna be cold right?" Demi questions looking at the doctor about to squirt some kind of gel onto her stomach. The doctor laughing nodding her head.

"Brace yourself." She jokes and Demi laughs looking at Joe who is staring emotionless down at the floor. She sighs slightly attempting to ignore him through the whole appointment but it's hard. The screen pops up and the doctor looks closer soon gaining a surprised look on her face.

"What?" Demi says nervously, that made Joe look up from the ground towards the screen. He lets go of her hand and makes his way over staring at the screen with the doctor instantly knowing why she is so surprised.

"Triplets?!" Joe exclaims.

"What?!" Demi repeats again and Joe looks over at her with a hint of a smile showing.

"3 babies." He tells her.

"Let's see if they are all healthy," The doctors says and Joe takes a seat back down on the chair taking hold of Demi's hand again. She begins going through procedures that she does with any other pregnancy and even gets another doctor in to just double check so she does miss anything. Nearly 10 years in the job and she's never come across triplets so it will be a first for here but also means she could make more mistakes. "Here's two pictures, I've circled around one of them to show where they are since they are very small at this stage." She explains and Demi nods taking them from her hands. They have a quick  chat about how diet should be and about the tablets Demi should take so she gets the right amount of minerals and vitamins into her body and such.

"I can't believe there is 3!" Demi states holding onto Joe's hand as they make their way out the hospital, Joe squeezes onto her hand tighter.

"Neither can I." he admits still looking distant.

"Joey what's wrong?" Demi questions still knowing exactly what's wrong.

"It doesn't matter, I just want to get home." he admits letting go of her hand walking ahead of her to the car. A shaky sigh realising from her lips before she walks over to the car jumping in the front seat strapping in. The car ride was quiet apart from the radio, Joe deep in thought while concentrating on the road, Demi looking at the scenery passing by.

You have quite literally caught up now, I've written about just under half of Episode 31 but I'm at my Grandparents for the morning so I probably won't be able to start writing it until I get home since I need to help them out. Lucky for you it's Easter break for nearly 3 weeks so I should get plenty written.
