I Had You At Hello- A Jemi Love Story

Episode 50

Joe follows his sons into Demi's house the next day greeting her as he takes his shoes off. He came a bit earlier so he could talk to her about what happened last night. They both set up Oliver and Ashton doing something so they could talk in private. They both take a seat at the table taking a sip of coffee Demi had just made them.

"I was sat with them last night watching SpongeBob and Oliver turned to me and said that Ashton was ill, he looks fine to me but I couldn't get it out my mind all day." Joe admits.

"I'm sure it's just something he said." Demi states not worrying at all, Ashton never gets ill.

"But what if it isn't?" Joe questions.

"He won't be ill Joe, he's never ill remember." Demi states again trying to get it through his head that their son isn't ill, just far from it. He isn't acting any different then he usually does unless there is something wrong with him inside that they can't see but surely if he didn't feel right he would be acting different. Joe sighs leaning back on his chair running his fingers through his hair again, he just wants to make sure.

"I'm taking him with me to work to get him checked out." Joe states standing up.

"What, you can't just take him, he's with me now." Demi states following him into the living room where Joe had just picked Ashton up holding him against his hip ignoring what Demi had just said, he puts his shoes on leaving the house ignoring Demi's demands for him to give their son back. Once he left she sits down next to her eldest son creasing his hair as he moves his glance back onto the TV completely oblivious to what has just happened.

Joe wonders into the hospital Ashton in his arms again trying to find a doctor that is spare just to check him over before he can take him off to Demi's. He know he didn't have a right taking him away again but he's getting paranoid that something has gone wrong and he will continue being paranoid until he knows there is nothing extremely wrong with him.

"Dr. Lincoln." Joe states standing at the door smiling back when he looks up from his desk.

"Hey Dr. Jonas, can I help you?" He questions waving back to Ashton as he just waved to him.

"Can you check him over, I'm paranoid something is wrong." He asks and Dr. Lincoln nods standing up taking him from him beginning to walk down the halls Joe following. He didn't want to do it by himself, he's a new doctor and wanted someone a bit more experience to make sure there isn't anything seriously wrong.

"So he just took him?" Selena questions and Demi nods taking a sip of  her coffee, she's kind of worried with how long Joe has been maybe there is something wrong with her son, if there were she'd never forgive herself for not noticing.

"What does he think is wrong?" Taylor questions and Demi shrugs.

"Apparently last night Ollie had told Joe that Ash is sick and now Joe's just gone all paranoid over it, I just hope I think he is being stupid and Ash isn't really ill." Demi states.

"He'll probably just have the bug or something." Sel reassures seeing how stressed Demi is becoming. Demi sighs.

"What if he doesn't?" Demi questions beginning to think about the 'what ifs'.

"Then you have to be there for him and Joe, you can't just carry on arguing like you are, you both need to be there for your ill son. " Taylor explains and Demi sighs again beginning to get extremely  teary with the whole conversation. They talk a little bit long about random things Selena and Taylor trying their best to get the situation of Demi's mind until they heard the door open. Demi doesn't start crying until she saw Joe walk in alone his own eyes red as if he's been crying. The next couple of moments were burly for Demi, not even calm enough for Joe to tell her what's gone on. Joe just standing there crying harder himself as his friends try to comfort his ex girlfriend.
