Beyoncé
The next morning I flew nearly four hours to Houston to see my sister. I went straight to my childhood home and could already here arguing from outside. Quickly I used my key to let myself in to stop this arguing.
"Aye aye! What's going on?!"I looked between Rosalinda and Mama. Daddy was sitting on his favourite chair staring at them both.
"You need to tell your mother that kicking Solange out is not the right answer,"Rosalinda retorted in her thick accent.
"Rosalinda best believe you need to be taught how to stay in your place as my servant. You are mine. I own you,"Mama hissed.
"Solange is a little girl! She doesn't deserve-"
"Shut up and go and polish my heels,"Mama looked down on Rosalinda as she was wearing her heels and Rosa was just short in general (Author's Notes: can't relate tbh🙃 #tallgang)
"Mrs-"
"Now! Before I have you fired and back where you started,"Mama sneered. The way she spoke made me shiver. That was horrible. How could she speak to Rosalinda like that?
Rosa had no choice but to storm off and attend to her duties.
"That was no way to speak to Rosalinda, Mama. She's done nothing wrong!"I defended her.
"Mind your tone when you're talking to me, Beyoncé. Rosalinda is house help. Her job is to do as I say, not give her unwanted input,"she rolled her eyes.
"Beyoncé is right, Celestine. This is your fault anyway,"Daddy stood up.
"Mathew how is this my fault?! I didn't impregnate the damn child!"Mama screamed.
"If you'd been a good mother to her instead of ordering Rosalinda to practically raise the child then she would know about sex and protection!"
"Ain't that the truth,"I mumbled looking down and scratching my head.
"Well if you were a good sister instead of running off to sleep with a rapper in New York then she'd know about protection,"Mama looked me up and down.
"I have done the best I can with Solange. I've been more of a mother to her than you. Rosalinda has been more of a mother to Solange than you. All you do is strut around the house in Giuseppes and a Stella McCartney dress believing you're a queen!"I snapped. Mama slapped me round the face. My blood was boiling and Daddy held me away from her.
"Are you serious? You're gonna slap Bey when this is none of her fault? She's right anyway. Hell, Jay's mom has been more of a mom to me than you,"Solange came in hugging me.
"You alright?"I whispered in her ear.
"Yeah."
"We need to talk about this now,"Daddy ordered.
"I don't need to-"
"Now,"he lowly said making me and Solange sit down.
"Mathew-"
"SIT DOWN CELESTINE!"he bellowed. Mama jumped and sat down too. Daddy took a death breath before returning to his seat.
"I don't want to discuss anything. If y'all don't want to have Solange then I will be glad to take her with me to New York. She can finish high school here in Houston and start college but live with me if she wants. She's already applied to go to NYU,"I crossed my legs.
"Did you know about this pregnancy Beyoncé?"
"Of course I did because Solo confides in me and is comfortable enough to approach me. She can't do that with y'all and that's why y'all are only finding out by eavesdropping on her conversation. How did you not even notice her walking around with a six month old baby bump? Oh yeah, you've been too busy getting your money to spend on wine that you don't even drink for like ten years!"I ranted.
