Jay
I knocked on the door and waited for Rosa to open up. I chose to see Tamika because I hadn't seen her in a while and to also hear Rosa's side and if she agreed with me or her demonic daughter. I wasn't meant to be here because it was court order that neither of us saw Tami but I missed her.
Rosa opened the door and before I could even greet her Tami ran past her and hugged my legs.
"Well good morning to you too Tamika,"I chuckled picking her up.
"Good morning daddy. I missed you,"she wrapped her tiny arms around my neck.
"I missed you too baby. How you doing, Rosalinda?"I side hugged her.
"I'm doing good and you?"
"Stressed,"I sat on the chair.
"I'll get you something to drink then,"she patted my shoulder.
"It's no worries, Rosa."
"¿Por qué? You can't come into my house and not have something,"she walked into the kitchen while I chuckled.
"It looks pretty good by the way,"I gazed around her living room.
"Gracias. All Mathew owed me I put into moving away from his ass. I just want peace in my life now. I'm guessing it's the case that's stressing you out, ¿verdad?"she came back with mango juice and a Spanish snack. Tami went for the snack and Rosa smacked her hand.
"You've already eaten Xavi. Codiciosos,"Rosa scolded her. When she turned around I quickly gave her a little bit. "Xavi go upstairs so I can talk to your daddy."
"Love you daddy,"she kissed my cheek before jumping off my lap and going upstairs.
"Rosa I really need to get custody of Tamika. I don't know what I'll do if she stays with Heather,"I took a gulp of the juice.
"I'll give you this, you've made more of an effort to see Xavi than Heather. She hasn't even called me to check up on her, but what has she done that she can't have her daughter? Is it serious?"Rosa leaned in.
"Heather has a history of violence. So do I, but I was defending Ma. Heather has anger issues and just before she left she burned Tami because she drew all over the walls and accidentally spilled Kool-Aid all over her dress. The thing is, I'd only gone to pick up some pizza for us. She's never really been the motherly type because she used to party and go out 24/7 when Tami reached 2 months. If Heather'll actually burn her own daughter over a dress then what else will she do out of anger? I know Pedro's never wanted children so he's hardly gonna look after Tami or else Heather wouldn't have lied about Tami being mine. I can't have that girl living in a house with two adults who's IQ is lower than Pedro's tag,"I shared with Rosa.
"I never knew that Heather was like that but I guess I can't be surprised seeing as she was always sneaking out the house when she was younger. I truly understand what you're saying Jay but every child needs their mother."
"Tamika doesn't have a mother,"I frowned. Rosa sighed.
"Jay I really do agree with you but Heather has had a hard life and I blame that on me. She had to fake being somebody else's daughter for so long. Xavi is her only chance to have the family she didn't grow up having."
"We've all had a hard life but when we leave home what we do is our own choice. Heather did have a difficult childhood but the second she left home that was her opportunity to turn things around for herself and make a better future. It's her own fault now,"I shrugged.
"Daddy come play dress up with me!"we heard Tamika dressed in a fairy costume at the top of the stairs.
Beyoncé
The girls clapped and cheered as I strutted to the table.
"And the last to make it...half an hour late...Beyoncé!"Angie announced like a commentator at a basketball game. I hadn't seen my girls Angie and Kelly in a minute and I missed them.
"Y'all know I like to make my entrance,"I flipped my hair before hugging the two.
"We can see you haven't changed the slightest,"Kelly giggled.
"We got you your usual,"I smiled at them.
"Thank you. So what's been going on?"
"Nu uh Bey you gotta tell us first,"Ang sipped on her lemonade.
"Well we're getting stronger and stronger everyday. I'm telling y'all, that counselling house was therapy for me too because I can't forget my past but I can move on from it. I love Jay so much and things are real between us now. We're actually moving to LA as soon as Jay gets custody of his daughter Tamika,"they cheered drawing more attention to us but that was their speciality.
"I'm so happy for y'all. When y'all get married, I think I should be the maid of honour seeing as I hooked y'all up in the first place,"Angie suggested.
"Bey I know you'll make the right decision when it comes to picking your maid of honour,"Kelly winked.
"Which will be me,"Ang argued.
"Y'all going faster than we are. One step at a time,"I laughed. "Anyways, back to you. Who's going first?"
"Well I've met a new man called Alex."
"Girl what happened to the last one?"I raised my eyebrow.
"Had three baby mamas and six children. Ain't no 'last one' there,"we laughed. "I've really fallen for him and I'm ready to start a life with Alex,"Ang warmly doted.
"Angie you know I'm all for you finding happiness but you barely know this man and you're already planning to move to an entirely new city with him? That's risky,"I folded my arms. I didn't want Ang to be in danger; she was the closest cousin I'd ever had in life.
"Well so did you and look how you turned out,"she grinned and I couldn't help but smile. "I want y'all to meet him and see for yourselves that he's the one for me."
"I'm happy for you cuzzy. But Kelendria why are you eating so damn much?"I turned to Kelly.
"Bitch I'm feeding your damn nephew or niece be grateful,"she smacked her lips. I looked at her in confusion but she lifted up a little showing her humongous bump.
"Kelly you're pregnant!"I jumped up and down.
"No shit,"she laughed stuffing her face with Bajan chips.
"Why didn't you tell me before?"
"Bey I found out the day of Solo's baby shower and giving what had happened to you I didn't wanna upset you. I'm only four months as well but I'm ready to get her out of me,"she moaned.
"Congrats to you and Lance babygirl,"I hugged her.
"Thank you. Me and Solo already having babies, now we waiting on either of you so we can have ourselves a little TLC,"Kelly clapped and we laughed.
"So what's going on between you and Lance? Is he staying in New York?"
"Well I'm staying in NYC so I know he'll find himself a job here. He can't be flying all over the world while I'm here getting stretch marks. That can't run,"she shook her head and we laughed again.
