The hwarang were going to have their first assignment, they were all seated in the lecture hall with tables in front of them and writing materials on the table.
Master We hwa was giving another speech which Mei couldn't concentrate on even if she tried.
She only caught the last sentence.
"I shall repeat myself. Discuss the King as water but your answer must be based on Tao Te Ching. You may begin" Master We hwa said.
Mei sighed and for once was thankful for all the books Ai had always forced her to read. She dipped her brush into the ink and started writing.
She wasn't feeling any better and it didn't help that she was sitting next to Ji dwi. Tears came to her eyes as she wrote and she had to stop several times to wipe away her tears.
Ji dwi couldn't help but notice how Jung kept stopping to wipe his eyes, why was he crying. What had happened to upset him so much.
Once everyone's answers were submitted, Mei put her head onto the table and cried. She couldn't even begin to fathom why she was so heart broken. She hadn't even cried this much when her grandfather from Africa died right in front of her. She remembered how she'd gone there at his request, he was on his deathbed and wanted to see the child of his beloved daughter, lerato.
Mei had spent three months in Africa and enjoyed every moment of it. Her grandfather had showered her with gifts and blessings and he promised her that she would be the queen of a powerful nation one day. When she asked him how he knew, he told her that the ancestors had shown him in a vision. He held her close, told her he loved her and died peacefully.
