Mei went to her house and started pacing around the garden and talking to herself. Bai and Ai watched her with keen interest.
"So are you going to tell us what's wrong or are you just going to keep pacing and talking to yourself?" Ai asked.
Mei turned to face them and then she walked to them and put her hands on her hips. "He's being ridiculous for no reason whatsoever, can you believe that he won't let me get married and he locked my fiance up!" Mei shouted.
"What are you talking about?" Bai asked.
"Jinheung locked Soo ho up and he won't let us get married" Mei said.
"Soo ho proposed to you?" Ai asked and Mei nodded.
"And you agreed?" Bai asked and Mei nodded again.
"When did this happen and why did you agree?" The siblings asked in unison.
"He asked me last night and I said yes. I'm not waiting around for Jinheung anymore, he doesn't love me he never did" Mei said.
"And you think Soo ho loves you, do you love him?" Bai asked.
"Soo ho loves me, I saw it in his eyes. I'm not in love with him but I care about him and I know I'll grow to love him" Mei said.
Ai smacked her forehead "oh you dear child!" She exclaimed.
"Princess, why do you think the king did this?"
"How should I know? And anyway I don't care!"
Just then a young maid came up to Mei and bowed "your highness, the king is here" the girl said. Mei stared at her in shock, what did Jinheung want?
"Let him in" Ai said and then she and Bai left Mei alone in the garden.
Mei went to sit on a bench in the shade of a tree in corner of the garden. Jinheung walked to her and sat beside her, nobody said anything for a long time.
"Do you really want to marry Soo ho?" Jinheung asked.
"Yes I do, why is that so hard to believe"
"You don't love him" Jinheung said.
"How do you know that?" Mei asked
"You, you only love me" he said.
Mei stood up and glared at him, "You're so sure of yourself aren't you. Well I hate to disappoint you but I don't love you anymore"
Jinheung stood up and forcefully pulled her close to him. "You're lying, I know you Mei you can never love anyone else but me. I will never let Soo ho marry you" he said and kissed her, Mei turned her face away but Jinheung held her face and kissed her again.
Mei pushed him away and slapped him "How dare you! Why do you care that I want to marry Soo ho, you said you weren't in love with me right?"
"I lied, I do love you more than I want to admit and I'll be damned if I let another man have you" he said.
Mei smiled as tears fell from her eyes "You're too late Jinheung, you threw my love back in my face. I don't want anything to do with you"
