Mei's house in Silla hadn't been bought yet and Ai had managed to hire all the former servants.
She'd been in Silla for three days but she hadn't gone anywhere."Did we seriously come back here so that you could hide?" Bai asked as he and Mei sparred in the garden. "Don't judge me, I'm scared okay. I left without even saying goodbye what if my friends are angry at me" Mei whined. "If they're really your friends then they'd have missed you too and wouldn't be angry now concentrate" he said.
After several hours of training, Mei took a bath and decided to go to the hwarang house. She wore her hwarang uniform and stood in front of her mirror. She missed wearing it and realised that she was a little excited.
When she got to the hwarang house, she went to see master We hwa first. She'd brought gifts for him.
"This is a pleasant surprise, your highness what brings you back to hwarang?" He asked."I never left hwarang, I just had important business to attend to at home. I've brought gifts for you" she said and smiled.
"I hope you aren't trying to bribe your way out punishment for leaving the hwarang house without permission?"
"P-punishment? But master it wasn't my fault I swear please spare me just this once" she pleaded.
Master we hwa started laughing "I'm not punishing you, thank you for the gifts your highness and welcome back to Silla" he said.
Mei smiled at him and then she went in search of her former roommates. There weren't many hwarang around and Mei wondered why. When she asked she was told that the king had given hwarang some time off so a lot of people were at home.
She left the hwarang house and decided to visit Ah ro.

Ah ro sat outside and stared up at the sky, she missed Sun woo and wondered when he was going to return. "Somebody looks really lonely" Ah ro heard a voice say.
She turned around and smiled instantly. Mei walked up to her and Ah ro stood up and bowed. Mei put her arms around her friend and hugged her tightly.
"Unnie, I missed you so much, how are you?" Mei asked. Ah ro pulled away and frowned.
"My friend left without saying goodbye, how do you think I am?"
"I'm sorry it's just that I didn't want any fuss over my leaving, at the time I thought it was best for everyone if I just left" Mei said.
"Fine then I suppose I can forgive you just this once. Welcome back your highness" Ah ro said.
"So what have I missed and where is Sun woo?" Mei asked.
Ah ro sighed as she and Mei sat down.
"Sun woo isn't here, he went away on important business and I haven't heard from him. The queen regent died a while ago. She was being poisoned for years and she knowingly drank the tea everyday. Princess Sook myung has left Silla so I suppose she will not marry her brother and the king has been doing fairly well although I have not seen him since Sun woo left" Ah ro said.
