Mei sat in the palanqin, they had finally arrived in Silla. She was happy to be home but she wished that Jinheung had let them stay at least a few more days. He'd insisted on leaving the village the day after he passed the test.Mei had begged him and even threatened never to speak to him again, it still didn't work. As a last resort she threatened never to bear him any children. "So what are you going to do if you're already with child?"Jinheung had asked her.
Mei didn't have a response and realised that he wasn't going to give in. She tried ignoring for the whole journey but it didn't work well because she got bored easily, They were at sea for several days so it was impossible to find any form of entertainment.
Mei was glad when her feet finally touched solid ground and it felt good to be back in Silla.
When they arrived at the palace, Mei and Jinheung went to the throne room where they found Sun woo playing with his wooden dice. He didn't seem to notice them come in.
Mei hid behind Jinheung."I leave you in charge and this is what you do? Play all day" Jinheung said. Sun woo jumped in surprise and dropped his dice onto the table, it rolled onto the floor and stopped at Jinheung's feet.
"Did you find her?" Sun woo asked as he stood up and walked to Jinheung.
Jinheung scoffed "Yah is that how to greet your cousin after not seeing him for a long time, I'm supposed to rest first before you start asking questions"
"You don't look too disappointed about not finding her, are you that frustrated? It's just the two of us here you can cry if you want to " Sun woo said.
The dice suddenly rolled over to Sun woo. Sun woo stared at the dice when he looked at Jinheung again he could see Mei's hands circling Jinheung's waist. She leaned to the side and smiled at him.
He smiled back at her and breathed a sigh of relief. She walked to him and put her arms around him.
Sun woo hugged her tightly and stroked her head. "I went away for a little while and you went and got yourself into so much trouble, what am I going to do with you mmm?" Sun woo said.
Mei giggled "Orabeonni, I missed you so much you know" she said. Sun woo held her at arms length and stared at her face. "Impossible" he whispered. Mei frowned and touched her face "What, what is it?" She asked.
"It seems that you've gotten prettier since I last saw you" Sun woo said. Mei smiled and hit his chest then she hugged him again.
Jinheung grabbed her arm and pulled her away from Sun woo "That's enough touching, you have your own wife you know" Jinheung said.
"Are you serious?" Sun woo asked.
Jinheung nodded and put an arm around Mei's waist.
"Orabeonni, are you going to go home to Ah ro now? I'll go with you" Mei said. Jinheung pulled her closer. "You don't have to go with him, you can go later" Jinheung said. Mei ducked down and then stepped back, escaping his grip.
"Don't be ridiculous, I have to go say hello to everyone and you have to get back to your duties. I'll see you when I get back." Mei said and quickly dragged Sun woo away.
