Present Day

Ashton

Green Day was on full blast through out my car while following mum to the new house. The family was moving once again which I didn't like, I had to say goodbye to all my friends and hello to new ones. It was the middle of the school year and it was my senior year as well. Mum pulled up a drive way and I pulled up behind her turning the car off and hoping out seeing a huge two story house in front of us.  

"Alright were here" Mum said jumping out of the car putting her hands on her hips. Lauren and Harry ran past me and mum running into the house shouting he would be getting the better room. "It's a great house isn't it"? Mum asked turning around smiling at me.

"Yeah it's great" I said not that excited

"Cheer up Ash I'm sorry for the big move but I'm sure you'll make plenty of friends here" Mum said trying to cheer me up. 

"I hope so" I said

"Come on, come help me unpack" Mum said giving me a small smile. I smiled back at her saying.

"Okay" I had to help mum out as much as I could since moving her is big for her too ever since my father cheated on her and left the family behind without telling us. I knew I had to man up and get use to everything. 

I felt a pillow been thrown at me the next morning I groaned looking up seeing Lauren standing there arms crossed and I said

"What"?

"Mum said, get up or else you're going to be late for school" She said 

"Give me five minutes" I said throwing the pillow back at my sister, I pulled the cover over my head and I felt the pillow hit me again

"Get up now Ash"! Lauren sat pulling the covers off me and walking off. I got up seeing that it was raining. I walked to my draws getting jeans out and a singlet and hoodie, I grabbed my bag shoving my laptop and two books in there. I ran downstairs grabbing my shoes by the door and I was about to leave until mum stopped me

"Hang on a sec Ashton, come have breakfast" she said

"Mum I'll have something on the way school alright I'll see you later" I said running up to her giving her a quick kiss on the cheek before running out the door. 

I hopped in my car turning it on but it was playing up. I turned it off trying again but it still wasn't working. I was already late for school and my only resource was to catch the bus, I quickly texted mum explaining that I was running late and my cars not working so will be catching the bus. I quickly ran towards the bus stop that I saw in the distance seeing someone knowing that the school bus hasn't arrived yet. 

As I got closer I noticed that person was a girl sitting down cuddling herself while in the rain, I couldn't see her face but saw her long black hair peeking out from her hoodie noticing that she had a bit of pink in her hair as well. The bus arrived and the girl got on straight away with me following behind seeing she sat all the way up at the back while I sat in the middle of the bus. I wanted to turn around to see the girl but I couldn't. 

I walked into the office walking up the desk where a lady was doing paper work and talking on the phone about how her new husband is. 

"Hello, I'm new"I said hoping that would get her attention. She looked up at me and told whoever ont he phone she needed to go. She put the phone down and smiled and said

"Ah yes, are you Ashton Irwin"?

"Yes I am" I said 

"Welcome just take a seat and the principal will be with you shortly and you will have someone guide you around for the day" She said smiling

"Thank you" I said smiling back.

"You're welcome" I sat down and waited ten minutes until finally the principal came around the corner in a suit and tie looking very smart, he smiled and said

"Ashton Irwin" I stood up and shook his hand smiling and I said

"Welcome to our school I know you will fit in just well now I've got your timetable, oh and here comes your helper for today" I turned around seeing a boy with red hair coming in wearing jeans and a blink 182 top. He gave me a smile and I smiled back and the principal said "Michael this is Ashton and Ashton this is Michael he will be you're helper for today"

"Hey" I said

"Hey, welcome" he said smiling, the principal gave me my things and soon walking off. Michael and I walked out of the office into an empty hall

"I like you're shirt" I spoke up breaking the silence

"Thank you do you listen to them too"? He asked 

"Yeah of course love that band" I said smiling at him.

"Sweet I think you and me are going to get on just fine" he said "So what do you have first"?

"Uh English"

"Sweet me too, you'll love our teacher she's so nice"

"Okay" I said walking with Michael down the hall and off to English.

At lunch I looked around for a spot but I couldn't find one then I spotted Michael talking to a really tanned guy with black hair, I walked over and Michael noticed me and he said

"Hey, Ashton, come join us" I sat down next to Michael "Oh Ashton met Calum, Calum met Ashton" I smiled at Calum and shook his hand

"So you like FIFA"? Calum asked

"No I'm not really a fan of FIFA" Calum looked at Michael straight away saying

"Michael I don't like him" He said. 

"Calum you'll get over" Michael said rolling his eyes. 

"But he doesn't like FIFA, who doesn't like FIFA"

"Calum get over it you'll live"

"Okay I'm over it, want to be friends" I laughed at Calum and said

"Sure why not"I said laughing. I looked past Calum noticing that same black hair with pink tips girl  walking with her hoodie up, who the hell was she? She sat down all by herself and had her head down

"Ashton, hello"? I heard Michael say "Who are you looking at"?

"Who's that girl with the pink tips sitting by herself" Michael looked around finally seeing who I was talking about

"Oh her she's uh" I noticed Michael looking in another direction and he then looked at me saying "I'll tell you after school now's not a good time" Soon another boy with blonde hair and blue eyes sat down and he said

"Who's this"?

"Hi I'm Ashton" I said shaking his hand

"Nice to meet you mate welcome to our shitty school" He said taking a bite out of his burger. 

"Calum and Luke are in a grade 11" Michael told me. 

"Oh no wonder you guys seem younger" They all got into a conversation and I looked over at pink tips and she lifted her head up she was beautiful, her lips were a perfect color tone, her skin color was amazing, and it seemed like she had brown eyes she looked my way and quickly put her head down. I wonder what's wrong with her I guess I'll find out this afternoon once Michael tells me.
