Chapter 34

Ashton’s P.O.V

“Ashton, Ashton” I felt someone rocking me trying to wake me up, I saw Luke standing there with his hand in his pocket looking a bit better than he was before “Anna, woke up and she wants to see you” I smiled and got up following the nurse into Anna’s room. When I arrived at Anna’s room I saw Anna sitting there she turned her head and smiled at me. I walked up to her and said

“Anna, you’re alright”

“Yeah I’m alive”

“You’ve got to be the luckiest girl I’ve ever met”

“Yeah”

“Listen Ashton” Anna sat up and held my hand and took a deep breath “These last couple of months have been amazing and you have no idea how grateful I am to have met you but I don’t think I can be with you anymore” my heart broke into a million pieces when she said those final words.

“What, if this is about this morning”

“Ashton, Ashton it’s not about this morning, I’m sorry but maybe it’s best if you find a girl who isn’t fucked up like me”

“But Anna, I love you and no one else”

“Mum, brought your ticket to the next flight to Australia which is this afternoon at 4”

“So that’s it”? I said looking at the ground putting one hand through my hand. She wasn’t answering me so I just got up and walked off

“Ashton”

“No, it’s fine Anna I had fun as well but it seems all good things must come to an end” I walked out of her room and Luke and Claire took me back to the house, I started packing my bags and I saw that pastry school form and I sat down on the bed and put a sticky note on it. Luke knocked on the door and he said

“Ready to go”?

“Yeah” I said with a small smile, I grabbed my bags and walked downstairs and it was back home to Australia.

Anna’s P.O.V

When I returned home from the hospital, I walked up to my room feeling empty because Ashton was now on a flight back to Australia and I felt like I made a huge mistake but also a good choice. I wanted to be with Ashton but after this morning I started to question our relationship and where it was going? I sat on the bed looking to the side and seeing that stupid form that started it all. I grabbed it and opened the form up and there was a sticky note attached to it in Ashton’s writing

GO FOR IT!

I didn’t know if I should but maybe everyone was right I should go for it but that means moving to Paris and leaving everyone behind including Ashton.
