Chapter 18

Anna’s P.O.V

Later in the day I was sitting in my room listening to music and finishing off my homework and somehow I ended up drawing a heart arrow with Ashton’s name in it, Is Ashton actually the key to my happiness? Is he fixing me? Who knows? Maybe I could listen to Green Day now but I’m scared because I didn’t know the name of the song so what if I picked it without even knowing and that one bad memory came back. I heard a knock on my door I turned around on my spiny chair seeing Luke at the door

“Yes Luke”

“Just to let you know your boyfriend is down stairs” I rolled my eyes and I said

“Ashton is not my boyfriend”

“You sure because you went on a date and I’m pretty sure you kissed him on the cheek”

“Whatever” I said, I walked past him but before I went downstairs Luke said

“Hey Anna” I turned around smiling at my brother

“Yeah Luke”

“I’m glad you’re moving on” I didn’t want to agree with Luke because I still felt bad for moving on from my boyfriend for basically 3 years

“Yeah” was all I said, I ran downstairs seeing Ashton standing at the door talking to mum laughing with her, I walked up to them both and I said

“Hey Ashton”

“Hey, ready to go”

“Where are we going”? I asked

“Go get your shoes and I’ll show you”

“Okay” I said smiling, I grabbed my shoes and gave mum a kiss on the cheek she seemed shocked because I haven’t done that in ages “See you later mum” I shut the door behind me putting on my jumper “So where are you taking me”

“Well I thought I would do something nice for you” Ashton held my hand making me smile

“So what do you have in mind”?

“Come on” Ashton and I ran around the corner and in front of us was my fear a car. I started to get worried I looked at Ashton and I said

“What is this”?

“A Car I’m going to help you with your fear”

“Ashton I don’t think that’s a great idea” The last time Luke got me in a car it didn’t end to well and it ended with me not talking to him at all.

“Come on, trust me” maybe I should just give it a go I nodded and Ashton was driving and I took my time getting in the car, once I was in the car I took a deep breath a million thoughts going through my mind, I put my seatbelt on and took a deep breath I looked at Ashton and he said “Ready”

“Yep”

Ashton started the car up and I started to get nervous I wanted to hold onto something but I didn’t want to show Ashton my fear but so far we were doing well, I looked at Ashton and smiled, he smiled back at me and said

“See your doing fine getting over your fear, let’s listen to some music” he turned on the radio and this song had a rocking beat but it sounded familiar then I heard the singing voice Green Day then I remembered what the song was called Holiday “Oh I love this song” Ashton turned it up and held my hand making our hands intertwined “Aren’t you glad we did this” I looked at Ashton and I said

“Yeah”

I actually wasn’t, so many things were going through my mind at this point this is exactly how Peter and I ended up in the hospital and Peter dead, the flash backs were happening seeing that last sight of Peter just looking at me before the truck hit us and everything going dark not knowing what’s going to happen to your or the one you love. It was starting I was getting worried this is exactly what happened when Luke got me in the car

“Ashton, stop the car! I yelled letting go of his hand

“What”?

“Ashton, please”! Ashton pulled over and he looked at me

“Anna, are you okay” he tried to hold my hand but I pulled away, I saw the pain in his eyes when I rejected him this is exactly what I feared

“I’m sorry Ashton I can’t do this” I un did my seatbelt and got out of the car and I walked off

“What do you mean you can’t do this?” Ashton said getting out of his car just standing there I turned around and told him

“Listen Ashton its best if your just friends with my brother and that’s it, I’m no good for you your just going to end up heartbroken and you don’t deserve that you deserve someone better”

“But Anna” the pain that I saw in Ashton’s eyes killed me I didn’t even make eye contact with Ashton

“Sorry but it’s for the best” I soon walked off and began to run back home, I didn’t want to look back at Ashton it was too painful.

Ashton’s P.O.V

She just wanted me to be friends with Luke that’s it and just forget about the fact that we were almost a couple; I’m not giving up on her that easy I can tell you that but for now it’s best to give her space.

Aw poor Ashton :( 

But I wasn't going to put this chapter up until Friday since that's my next time to update but I thought why not be nice and update two times today and maybe Friday will have two chapters as well :) yay
