Chapter 13

Anna’s P.O.V

We stopped outside of my  house and I turned to Ashton and he said

“So I guess I’ll see you tomorrow at school”

“See you around Irwin” I said smiling at him then walking off into my house. I ran up to my room putting my bag down and falling back onto my bed, I don’t get Ashton I mean he keeps hanging around me like I’m really interesting but I’m not, it’s like his never going to give up on me. I heard a knock on the door I’m sure Luke or mum or dad will get it

“Anna, someone’s at the door for you” I got up from my bed and ran downstairs expecting to see Ashton there but it wasn’t, it was Peter’s mum standing there with a box in her hands I was getting confused

“Stacy, hi what are you doing here”?

“Hi Anna, so I finally decided to clean out Peter’s room and um I found some things that you might want” she handed the box over to me and I said

“Thank you Stacy”

“I better go, I have to pick up Kyle from his session”

“It was nice seeing you again Stacey”

“Bye Anna” Stacey soon left and I sat the door behind me, Kyle was Peter’s younger brother Kyle is now 15 years old he was a happy kid and him and Peter and the best brotherly relationship, Now Kyle is a wreak and doesn’t speak just like me. I ran up to my room sitting on the bed opening the box there were a couple of shirts that held memories, the first shirt I picked out was when Peter surprised me by taking me to We The Kings concert and we had our first kiss at that concert when the band sang Check Yes Juliet and after the concert Peter brought a shirt for me and somehow it ended up at his house I decided to put the shirt on it still smelt like him there were more shirts I took them all out and at the bottom there was a photo of Peter and I when we went camping with our families now that was a good time I turned the photo over and in big black capital letter was the word FOREVER! With a love heart, Peter told me we would always be together forever but it seems things change. I started tearing up a bit the last thing in the box was a CD and on it said Forever and Always what was this? I put it into my laptop and it turned out to be a DVD that’s when Peter appeared on my screen

“Hello beautiful if you’re watching this that means I’ve finally given you this or mum has somehow found it and has given it to you but I got bored one day and put some videos together of the past almost 3 years together and hopefully I give this to you on our 3 year anniversary probably not because I’m a chicken anyway I’ll shut up now and just play the video” Peter smiled and I was crying trying to wipe away the tears the video played and the song in the back ground was Check Yes Juliet but a cover of it that was slow. The video was a cute couple video and mostly of Peter pointing the camera on me I seemed so happy I couldn’t stop crying. The last scene of us two was him pointing the camera at me then he popped in and then he kissed me and, that smile it then turned back to Peter sitting in the chair and he said

“I love you baby” he put a heart up with his hand and said “Forever and always babe” the video then stopped and I was crying like a baby I got up grabbing shoes not anything else I ran downstairs and before I could open the door Luke stood at the door but I pushed past him

“Anna, what happened”? I kept running ignoring my brother “Anna, wait” I picked up the pace knowing Luke would be running after me I just ran to whenever my feet would take me.

Ashton’s P.O.V

I was searching everywhere for Anna, Where would she run off too? Luke’s looked almost everywhere so what chances do I have of finding her. It started to rain and I said

“Great, fantastic” I pulled up right beside the beach getting out of the car looking around seeing if Anna was anywhere near the beach “ANNA”! I yelled maybe I should go down to the beach. I slammed the car door, running down to the beach looking around to see Anna “ANNA”! She was nowhere to be seen then I remembered the one place she goes to think about things she told me one afternoon. I ran up to the car going to the garden just 10 minutes away from the school. I pulled up outside of the garden and I walked around the garden shouting out Anna but no answer I walked past someone sitting under a tree near the lake I then realised who that could be I backed up. The closer I got the more I heard her cry I sat down next to her and she said

“How did you find me”? She sniffled a bit and I said not looking at her just staring out at the lake

“Someone once told me she would always come here to think about things or if she chose to run away” I then looked at her but she was still looking out at the lake I noticed something in her hand she then handed me a photo of her with a boy near a camp fire this must be her ex-boyfriend

“Peter’s mum came over today giving me some on Peter’s things that I left in his room or that he wanted to give to me and I just needed some space that’s why I ran off, Ashton he was basically my first love 3 years together until some drunken idiot had to crush his stupid truck into us ending his life leaving me behind I miss him so much Ashton I don’t know what to do I’m lost without him” I put my arm around her and she rested her hand on my shoulder and kept crying, you can’t blame her she lost the love of her life

“When I was little my mum told me something when my grandma passed away she’s always in your heart always remember that” she lifted her head up and said

“Why do you care so much Ashton”? I smiled at her and said

“Because there’s just something about you Anna Hemmings and I like you” Anna smiled and rested her head on my shoulder again and she held my hand

“I like you too Ashton but”

“You’re still in love with Peter I understand that but to let you know when you’re ready I’ll be here” I just wanted to enjoy this moment with Anna at the moment she didn’t need a boyfriend all she needed was a friend.
