At lunch I was waiting for the guys, I noticed Anna sitting at her table by herself I wonder what she thinks, how she's feelings, if she was engaged wouldn't she have the ring on a necklace or something? Anna seems to be a mystery, I want to help her, make her smile again, let her open up to the world.

"Hey bro" Luke said sitting down in front of me

"Hey" I said looking away from Anna.

"So have you seen any girls your interested in"? Luke asked while taking a bite of his chip.

"Uh" I looked over at Anna I caught her looking at me she looked back down at her book and I smirked looking at Luke and said

"Yeah maybe" 

"Really who" I don't think I should tell him I like his sister that would be awkward but luckily Michael and Calum walked over and said

"Hey guys what's going on"?

"Ashton likes someone" Luke said

"Hey I said maybe" I said rolling my eyes

"Alright sorry" Luke said putting his hand up in defense; I laughed getting up out of my seat walking over to the bin that was next to Anna, I noticed three girls following behind but not to the bin but to Anna, were they friends of Anna?

"Oi Anna" Anna looked up from her book and just looked at them the girl continued talking "Still not talking are ya, its good that you're not talking anyway don't want to hear that annoying voice of yours" the two girls behind her laugh and Anna looked at her book, the girl put it down and said "Oi Hemmings I'm talking to you"

"Oi"! I said, the three girls looked at me and I said

"Leave her alone; come on get out of her"

"Whatever" said the main girl flipping her hair, I looked at Anna and I said

"Are you okay"? She gave me a small smile and nodded, I turned around walking back to the boys luckily they didn't see that, I don't know what Luke would say. I sat down and Luke said

"So I was wondering this weekend party at my house parents are away you boys in"?

"Wait what about"? Before Calum finished Luke said 

"Don't worry about her she will be up in her room" I'm guessing there talking about Anna.

"Ashton you in" Luke asked staring at me. 

"Sure why not be great to meet new people" I said 

"Awesome" said Luke

When I got home that afternoon, I opened the door smelling mums pasta.

"Mum, dad I'm home" mum came around the corner wiping her apron

"Hey honey" she said smiling "Where's your sister"? she asked. Ever since what happened last summer she doesn't walk home with me anymore.

"I don't know probably walking home" I said putting my bag down. 

"I'm still worried about your sister Luke, it's been months since the accident and" I walked over to mum and I said

"Hey mum don't worry alright I know it's been months since the accident but we just have to wait, Anna will be herself again just give it time"

"Okay" We both heard the door open and I turned around seeing Anna walk in

"Hey honey, how was school"? Mum asked with a big smile on her face. Anna looked up and said

"Hi, it was good" then she walked up stairs and all I heard was her door slam, mum seemed heartbroken I remember when we would get home she would go straight to mum to talk about school, mum and I are just lucky enough now that we get one word out of her.

"You better look after your sister this weekend, is Calum and Michael still coming over"?

"Yeah also a new friend that just moved"

"Oh really what's his name"?

"Ashton he's in the same grade as Michael"

"Well it's good to see you so welcoming for a new boy"

"Yeah" I ran upstairs going into my room throwing my school bag on the bed, I looked at a picture of Anna and I from last year I was giving her a piggy back ride I smiled at the picture I just wish Anna was back to herself seeing that beautiful smile every day, she loved the world so much.

"Luke" I jumped turning around seeing Anna standing at the door

"Yeah Anna" I said surprise that she's actually speaking to me but she wasn't making eye contact.

"I was wondering who you're new friend is"? She asked.

"Ashton" she smiled a little and looked back up at me and said

"He's cute" she then walked off, wow hang on when did Ashton talk to my sister how did he know my sister for that matter. I wonder if he knows about my sister and the accident the boys probably told him I'm guessing Michael it's always Michael but what I couldn't believe was she had a smile on her face not just a weak smile but a smile that almost showed her teeth.
