it was now 10:20 and a slow song was being played. i stood in the middle of the dance floor scanning the crowd for adam.

"may i have this dance?" i hear a voice from behind me. i jump at the sudden sound but soon relax when i realize it's adam.

"oh of course you may." i giggle wrapping my arms around his neck. he smiles as he places his hands on my hips.

"i've really missed you el." adam says pressing his forehead against mine.

"ive miss you more."'we stayed there, swaying back and forth , we were happy. we were just happy to be in each other's presence.

but then there song slowly ended.
and the reminder of the plan bounced off the walls of my brain, reminding me of what i have to do.
i'm scared.
not for my sake, but my friends.
i'm scared something will happened that's not apart of the plan and adam will be gone forever.
i can't lose adam.
without him i am absolutely nothing.
he's been my better half all of my life.
before we were even dating.
i love him with every inch of my heart.
and i'm determined to save him.
i won't give up until he's safe.
i won't give up until nicole is gone.

"hey adam i'll be back i have to use the bathroom." i yell over the music. he smiles and nods and walks off in charlie's direction.
i quickly walk over to the entrance to the bathroom where caroline, ava, connie, julie, elena , and bonnie are standing talking to each other.

"i'm ready." i sigh. they all look at me. caroline smiles and walking over to me.

"are you sure?" she asks putting a hand on my shoulder. i smile and nod my head.

"lets do this."

"this is officially the creepiest night of my entire life." i say to the girls in elena's car as we drive down the LONG, dark , scary road that will lead us to the lighthouse.

"i agree." bonnie says. "this place gives me the creeps."

"we're here." elena says pulling up to the lighthouse.

"ok so it's now 10:47. so y'all go back and we'll wait inside, let us know when you guys are close." they nod as we open the doors , stepping out of the car. we wave as elena pulls out and starts driving down the rode. i sigh and take a look around the place, being here at this time of the night gives me the creeps, i've never been at the lake at this time. i look at ava, she's found the same as me, looking around and taking in all of the creepiness. we walk down by the water.

"everything looks so peaceful by the water." i tell ava, bending down as a wave crashing against my shins. she sighs out loud , crouching down next to me.

"i know, but lets go in. we don't know when we are going to get that call from bonnie that they're on their way.
the lighthouse obviously wasn't really used, no big boats come into our little hometown lake, it's mainly just for show. we walk over and i go to grab the door knob. it's locked. i pull and pull and pull but the door doesn't budge.

"damnit." i yell, pounding on the door.

"hey el, calm down. let's look around for a spare key , maybe there's one under the mat." she says looking down at a little mat put front of the entrance to the lighthouse.

"ava this isn't a movie." i say crossing my arms. she bends down anyways and lifts the mat.

"well lucky us, i'm a movie freak and remembered." she says holding the key up as she smirks. i roll my eyes while grabbing the key and unlocking the door. we make sure to put the key back and to lock the door again, so it makes it look like we totally didn't break into a lighthouse.
