"School actually sucks." I sigh as I put my head in my hands. It's been a week since I've returned home and I have lots of school work to catch up on.

"Here let me help." Connie says getting up and walking over to the desk we share in our dorm. Connie seems to know what she's doing so she quickly is able to help me understand. After doing the rest of my missed math work , I open the book we are reading for ELA class and begin where I left off. A few short minutes into my book reading , Adam and Charlie come crashing through the door.

"Hello ladies." Charlie says hopping onto Connie's bed as Adam jumps on my. I sigh in frustration and look up from my book.

"You know you boys aren't the quietest people." I say looking between the boys . They give me a sweet, innocent smile. I roll my eyes and return to my reading.

"Did you guys hear about the new girl?" Charlie asks. I hear the girls and Cami say 'no'. Oh yeah, Cami moved into our dorm shortly after we returned home, which is pretty cool.

"Yeah she's here on an art major , really shy though. She practically ran away from me and Adam when we introduced ourselves." Charlie explains, yeah I didn't really get any of that. At the moment, I'm too into my reading to be listening about the new girl.

"Yeah real cute too." I hear Adam say. What?! My head shoots up as I glare at him.

"Seriously?" I asked with annoyance as I cross my arms over my chest. He looks over at everyone in the room as they fall into a fit of laughter.

"What it's really not that funny." I say not even cracking a smile . Adam looks over at me and smiles.

"Finally, I got your attention." He smirks at me. I groan and roll my eyes.

"You're annoying." I say pointing my finger at him.

"But you love me." He says , walking over to the desk. He wraps his arms around my neck from the back of the chair.

"Lets go meet the new girl, I kinda want to see her." I hear Connie say. I sigh and shut my book.

"Fine, I'll take a break." I say getting up from the desk chair. They smile as we all walk out of the dorm and down the hall.

" I know exactly where to find her." Charlie says walking down a flight of stairs and through a hallway, heading towards the art rooms. Yes, there's about three arm classes here. Mainly because many come for art and the rest of us still have to take art. They have high art, average art, and beginners. I'm in average surprisingly.

"Hey Nicole." Charlie calls out from the door of the high art room. She turns her head quickly , we must have startled her. She's very pretty with short brown hair that falls on her shoulders, olive skin, and cute little glasses that are too big for her rather small face.

"Oh , hello Charlie . Adam." She says blushing a bit.

"Hello girls." She waves at us as she begins to put down her art utensils.

"Hey I'm Connie , and this is Ella, Cami, and Julie." Connie introduces us by pointing to each of us. I smile and wave.

"I've heard about you." She says sadly , as she points at me .

"Oh and you." She says shocked as she points at Cami. Cami gives her a warm smile, she doesn't say anything. Charlie was right, she's really shy but i like her. She stands up to put something away when her skirt gets caught, cashing us to see her upper thighs. And that's when we saw it, they were covered in scars and new cuts. i hold in my gasp for her sake, i look at the others but they weren't even paying attention. i walk over to her and help her move the skirt from the table. She looks at me and blushes.

"Sorry about that." She mumbles. i smile and put a hand on her shoulder.

"I saw them and I just wanted to tell you that you're not alone." I say and push up the sleeve of my hoodie revealing all of my old scars. She gasps.

"Why did you?" She asks.

"My dad, he left us and one day i just broke." i reply sadly. She pulls me into a hug which i'm pretty surprised about.

"i'm sorry." she says as we pull apart.

"No it's ok now , i'm fine ." I say with a smile.

"You should come with us to our hockey try outs." Charlie says from across the room. She smiles and nods.

"Sure , lets go."
