we walked hand in hand through the hallway that next morning, a huge smile plastered on my face. the smile i wore wasn't the fake one i showed everyone so they would think i'm okay. this smile was one of pure happiness, the kind that makes your heart happy. my heart was full of love and happiness that i didn't mind the few dirty glares from students in the hallways, i was blinded by my own happiness. i pass by caroline , bonnie , and elena as we walk down a hall, each of the girls have the biggest smile on their faces.

"ella! oh my god. explain now." i hear ava's voice say from behind adam and i. i smile and turn around to see charlie and ava walking towards us, each of them looked happy.

"yeah how come we werent told?" charlie asks sarcastically. he looked at me and smiled, and for the first time in months i felt okay again.

"we apologized and we both realized that we still love each other." adam says as he looks at me smiling. i smile over at him as ava squeals in excitement.

"im so happy you guys are back together. we can go on double dates again." ava says happily as she leans up, kissing charlie on the lips. i smile at them.

"ella conway! how dare you not tell your best friends that you and adam got back together." i hear the voice of julie. i look over to see her and luis smiling like crazy as they approach us. thats when i realized that adam had wrapped his arm tightly around my shoulder. i smile back at my two best friends.

"im so happy you're happy again el." luis says holding his arms out. i detach myself from adams grip and walk over to him with open arms. i put him into a tight hug.

"you deserve all of this happiness. you never deserved to be that sad." he whispers in my ear. he pulls back from the hug looking at me with pleading eyes, "promise us that you will never do what you did during the time you were sad. please. promise me." he says. i smile at him, happy yo have someone so amazing in my life. it feels great knowing people really do care about you.

without hesitation i answer back "i promise." they all smile at me as the words came out of my mouth. suddenly i hear a  gasp from the end of the hallway.

"ella marie conway! you guys are back together. oh my god .im so happy." i hear connie squeal as she pulls me into a hug.

i am so happy.
