At the crack of dawn, I was already up. Okay, that was quite an exaggeration. I woke up the next day as the sunlight began to seep in through the closed curtains. I’m that type of person that can’t sleep with the lights on. I always want it to be completely dark. So, even if my body can still feel the remnants of yesterday’s intense soccer game, I am forced to awaken because of the freaking sunlight.
And I’m the only one who has to bear the torture. The girl who likes the feel of the sunlight seeping through the room in the morning is still actually asleep. But not for long. I chuckled evilly. I do remember our conversation last night.
Fully inclining my body towards her, I was arrested by the sight of my girlfriend sprawled lazily on the bed. She’s the very definition of a goddess. I chuckled. Yeah, a goddess who’s half a face is covered by her luscious mane. I carefully, brushed the untamed curls out of her face. I sat there staring non-creepily at her. I take back what I said earlier. I think I could take many more mornings with the stupid sunlight just to wake up next to her illuminated by its rays. Seeping sunlight and Cass are a perfect delicate match.
Looming above her, I poked her cheek. “Cassandra.”
Poke.
“Cassandra.”
Poke. Poke. Poke. “Wake up.” Groaning, she rolled over so that half of her face was covered with the pillow.
“I’m gonna wake you up with kisses then.” I threatened. Scooting closer to her, I landed a loud sloppy peck on her cheek. With no response, I did another one and then another one. I let my kisses trail down to her ear which caused her to shiver. And then proceeding to the sides of her neck. She shivered again and suddenly pushed my face away from hers.
“It’s no fair”, she mumbled, still holding my face away from hers.
“You promised me a make out session”, I reasoned just to jolt her awake.
Grabbing a pillow, he smacked it right straight to my face. I groaned, hitting her back, a little more gently that she did to me.
“You’re such a guy!”
“Well, you were so hard to wake up.”
“You should have been used to that by now. We have been sleeping in the same bed for years.”
“I could have still been sleeping right now but your stupid see through curtains are letting all the sunlight in. And I’m still dead tired.”
“I like the sunlight effect in the morning”, she said, furrowing her eyebrows and pouting.
“And I like total darkness while I sleep.”
“Why does it bother you now?” She asked, curious.
“It wouldn’t if you just wake up with me.”
“I really don’t see the point of this conversation. Why are we arguing?”
“I don’t know.”
We held each others gazes and after a few heartbeats, burst out laughing. I fell back down to the bed, sitting my head on her lap.
“We were never good with arguing.”
Her hands went to my hair and began playing with it. I never said it to her, but that is one of my favourite things in the world. But admitting it makes me sound like a girl, so I don’t.
“You know what’s my favourite part of you physically?”
“Are we allowed to talk dirty in the morning?” She smacked my forehead. I snatched her hand and brought it to my lips.
