Subject: My cheerleader?

So it’s the first game tomorrow. Will your busy schedule allow you to be my personal cheerleader? :D

P.S. Putting it in question form so not to be too rude sounding. But I’m totally expecting you there even if I have to steal you from the hospital. ;)

Re: My cheerleader?

Of course, I’ll be there. You’ve so kindly reminded me about it for about a gazillion times now. It’s impossible for me to forget.

P.P.S. How considerate of you but the P.S. is totally unnecessary… you’re always rude. :P I know you like the back of my hand… even in email form. Why are we emailing again? There’s a thing called texting, you know.

Re: Old School

I’m trying to be old school romantic. Like that movie you made me watch. What’s it called…. a hmmm… You’ve Got Mail. I can be your Tom Hanks, baby. Not the old one. The young and hot version of him.

P.P.P.S. Why don’t you just sneak out? Like the olden days. :P

Re: You call that old school?

A letter would be old school not an email! With that thought in mind, you’ve never written me a letter… not ever! I deserve to be smitten by a guy who knows how to write in long-hand. :P

P.P.P.P.S. I prefer John Cusack to Tom Hanks any day.

P.P.P.P.P.S. I do not sneak out!!! You are such a bad influence.

P.P.P.P.P.P.S. How many Ps would that be now?

e: Tired of being old school

Is your phone within reach?

P.P.P.P.P.P.P.S. You should prefer me to anyone (yes not even Cusack) forever.

P.P.P.P.P.P.P.P.P.S.  You’re a little rebel.

P.P.P.P.P.P.P.P.P.P.S. That’s 10 Ps now. A new world record, I think. :)

Re: Impatient

Yes. Why?

_.S. I think I broke my ‘P’ key.

Getting an affirmative answer, I quickly snatched my phone from my bedside table and called her number. The phone rang once. No answer. Pick up, Cassandra. Another ring, still no answer. On the third ring, I almost gave up until I heard her ‘Hello’ on the other side.

“I thought you’d never pick up”, I said, almost sounding desperate.

She giggled and I can’t help but smile. “Sorry. I was looking all over for it in my bed. It was under my sheets”, she explained. I imagined Cass frantically looking for her phone. I chuckled at the thought. I miss her. “You know you should really be sleeping right now. You won’t want to be all groggy in the field tomorrow.”
