PLEASE READ!!!!
I would like to start off by apologising for a long period of wait. Last semester of College. Business Student. Shitload of school work. Life in general. Mix them all up together. You get the drift.
Can I ask one huge favor? I'd really like to hear from you. Maybe if you have a bit of time, comment below your fave line/scene from the fifteen chapters so far (Yey! We're halfway there.) Or maybe just comment generally what you like about the story. I am genuinely curious. And no one has ever left me a long comment before. And I love those. :( I promise it motivates me to write faster.
And I'm pretty sure you'd love this chapter.

This day is not what I expected it to be.
EXPECTATION:
Cass plays Taylor Swift songs on the stereo while I try my hardest to pretend that I don’t know the lyrics of the songs. Eventually, I cave and sing Red with her. And she laughs at me for sounding like a drowned version of Taylor Swift. I’d probably play some Kanye West to gain back my manliness even though I don’t know half of the lyrics. But after that Cass would take back the stereo and play another album of Swift. We’d stop by for a quick lunch at Mcdonald’s because this girl sure loves her fries and sundae. Especially on road trips. I plan to drive within speed limit just to prolong our little road trip before we get to Mom’s house. I’d have a harder time driving because I would be holding her hand while managing to change gears. And before we reach our destination, I’d stop by the Park where we met just to reminisce.
REALITY:
I got it all panned out but I failed to predict that there would be two intruders by the name of Amanda and Allen that’ll ruin my perfect moment with Cass. They have their own car so they made the totally plausible excuse that Allen's car broke down and Amanda’s was borrowed. How timely.
So for most of the car ride, I was sulking and cursing the fcuking diabolical couple sitting in the back seat. Cass, on the other hand, does not feel my resentments at all. From my expectations, what actually came true was her playing Taylor Swift songs until we stopped for food. Well, I sang some lyrics, but they were all in my head. I was still too fcuking annoyed to do so.
We stopped at Mcdonalds for a quick fix. I told the girls to go inside first and pulled Allen aside to do some serious cursing to his face.
Before I could even speak, Allen began apologising for intruding on our supposed moment.
“I’m sorry dude. It’s either getting smack by Mandy or by you.”
“And you thought Amanda hits harder than me?” He nodded meekly.
I sighed. “Bros before hoes” were my last words as I made my way inside. I’m not mad at him. I actually pity the dude for having Lucifer’s sister as his girlfriend. Sometimes I curse the day Cass introduced Mandy to Allen.
When we got in, I automatically spotted them. When I finally reached them, with Allen trailing behind me, I noticed that Amanda was sitting beside Cass, leaving two open seats across them. I knew I would not regret calling her Lucifer’s sister. Sneaky, really. I huffed as I took my seat across Cass, who stopped her conversation with Lucifer’s sister to smile at me. I couldn’t help but answer a smile back. Oh, how Cass can lift my mood with just one dazzling smile. I barely noticed Allen sitting beside me.
“You girls ordered already?” Al complained. I looked at the table and sure enough saw fries, a caramel sundae and a burger in front of Cass. And whatever the devil ordered, I didn’t really took time to observe. “Come on, dude, let’s order.”
