Chapter 4: It's Only Gonna Get Harder

"Urrggh, you are so exasperating, Alex!" Cass shouted at the top of her lungs. It's rare to see her like this. So when it happens, I have to beware to act serious and listen. I tried so hard to do that. I swear. But it's just too funny. You have got to see Cass' angry face. She's too cute, she can't even master an angry face. I was trying so hard not to burst but I can't take it anymore, I burst out laughing.

"I can't believe you're laughing at me right now when we're fighting", Cass hissed. "Asshole."

"Babe, I'm sorry", I said in between laughter, "I don't even know why we're fighting." I used bunny ears when I said fighting. "And did you just call me an asshole?" I asked raising an eyebrow.

She realised what she said and quickly covered her mouth with her hands, "Sorry. I didn't mean to call you an ass… but you really are acting like one tonight", she let out an irritated sigh and continued, "Sometimes you bring out the worst in me!"

"Hey!" I exclaimed offended by her words. I don't even get why she's so mad at me right now. All I did was protect her. It was for her own good. And I can't help myself. If you see a douche eyeing your girl, a good boyfriend steps in and punch that douche in the face. See, what's so wrong about that?

"You're changing the topic, Alex!" She said still exasperated. "I still can't believe that you punched the poor guy's face. What if he broke his nose or something? Or what if he goes to the police and arrests you? Or he calls up his gang and…"

I moved closer to her and straining to keep the impending laughter at bay. "Believe me when I say that that dude deserves that punch. And it wasn't even a strong punch. I should have broken his nose for acting like a sex crazed ugly puppy in front of you." I said pulling her hands towards mine. "Did you see how he looked at you? Were you so oblivious?" She pulled her hands from my hold and moved a step away from me. She then folded her arms to her chest.

"He was not looking at me like a sex crazed ugly puppy! How do you even come up with those kind of names?", she sighed, "He was just being friendly and starting up a conversation! And… and I could have had handled myself if ever what you're saying is true", she bit back, "And that's not even the point!".

I quirked my eyebrow urging her to explain her statement. "What is the point?"

"The point is you can't see what you've done wrong. Just admit that you are wrong and this fight will be over then."

I quickly replied, "no way", with a disgusted expression on my face. I will never apologise for something I believe is right. "That douchebag deserved it. I would never ever in a million years take back that punch."

If I thought I'd seen Cass angry, well I thought wrong. Yeah, she was super mad now. "Then I would never ever in a million years want to see your face again!" She screamed out.

"Get out of my room!" She hissed.

"So does this mean our fight is over?" I asked innocently.

She groaned and said, "You're such a guy sometimes! Just get out of my room! I need a break from you".

"Woah!" I think this conversation is getting serious now. "What do you mean, babe?"

"Don't call me babe, Alex. I'm not your girlfriend anymore. And you're not my boyfriend anymore therefore you have no right whatsoever to be in my room. So please leave now."

"Babe," she glared at me, "Cassandra, I'm sorry okay? If I knew you would have reacted this way. I shouldn't have punched that dude in front of you. Damn it, I should have dragged him to an alley and beat his ugly face there."
