Chapter 15

That day passed really quickly, and the four of them decided to just go to bed after a long day of camping. They were all sitting by the campfire that Tommy made earlier that day, it was getting late, and the sky was getting darker by every minute that went. "Aren't you two coming to bed?", Vince yawned, getting up along with Mick. "Yeah", Tommy replied, "We'll be there in a while". As soon as Vince and Mick had gotten so far out of sight that the two of them couldn't see them anymore, Tommy turned to Nikki, who was sitting next to him in a light green blanket, shivering, because it had gotten late, and the air was chilly. "Hey, uhm... I saw a lake when we arrived", he said, "Wanna go check it out?" Nikki pulled the blanket even tighter, looked at the campfire, then back at Tommy. "Are you kidding!?", Nikki exclaimed, "It's freezing! Aren't you cold?" Tommy just chuckled, and put his arm around Nikki. "We'll just stay close to eachother then", he smiled. Nikki looked up at him. He couldn't say no to that smile... "Oh, alright", he finally agreed, looking into Tommy's deep brown eyes. Tommy grabbed Nikki's hand, and led him to the lake.

It was dark outside, which was good, because then nobody could see them. They were all alone, and nobody knew that they were there. "Drop the blanket, dude", Tommy laughed, "Or you won't have anything to warm yourself up with afterwards". Nikki hesitated, but dropped the blanket, leaving it on the grass over the lake. The moon, being the only light for them to see in, was shining down at the crystal-clear water, covering the surface in a thousand stars, making it harder for Nikki to resist. "Come on, dude!", Tommy said, already halfway into the water. His black torn jeans and KISS-shirt were thrown at the grass next to Nikki's green blanket. He was wearing only a couple of light grey boxers, and by the look on his face, Nikki could tell that the water must have been really cold. "But it looks kinda cold...", Nikki said, rubbing his arms, now regretting saying yes to this in the first place. "Well, yeah, but you'll forget all about it as soon as you get used to it!", Tommy replied, "Come on and join me!" Tommy felt lonely in there, and wanted Nikki by his side. Besides, what's the fun in being in a cold lake at the middle of the night when you're alone? Nikki hesitated, but then remembered the kiss in the library... He sighed, and started throwing away his clothes. Shirt, shoes, pants. Tommy watched his every move. Soon, Nikki was standing there in his boxers too, freezing. He walked slowly down to the water, and decided on just jumping into it, since he knew that if he went down step by step, he wouldn't get completely underwater until sunrise.

Tommy had already been completely under, and his hair was soaking wet, some of it sticking to his cheeks. He ran a hand through it, so that it wouldn't be in the way when he studied Nikki, beautiful Nikki... "So what now?", Nikki asked, trying to keep the warmth by embracing himself. Tommy chuckled, moving closer to hug Nikki, who was shivering. It felt nice hugging Tommy, because even though the water was ice-cold, Tommy was still warm. He looked at Nikki, and grabbed his hands. "Join me underwater", he said. Nikki stared at him as if he was crazy. "What!?", he exclaimed, "As if I'm not cold enough!" Tommy laughed. "You won't regret it", he said. Nikki sighed, and finally went with it. They counted to three, and went under, almost immediately coming back up, gasping for air. "Oh my god", Nikki said, regretting it, freezing even more, if possible. Tommy just laughed again. "At least now you can't get any colder", he giggled, making Nikki smile a little. Hey, it was kind of funny, even though he was still freezing. Tommy moved a little closer, putting his arms around Nikki, making him blush slightly, something Tommy found incredibly cute. He tipped his head to the side, and closed his eyes, pressing his lips against Nikki's. He pulled away again, looking at Nikki, whose pulse was rising. Tommy felt Nikki's heart beating almost through his chest, but moved his arms up to Nikki's shoulders, and kissed his cheek, and slowly went on to his lips. Nikki spent some time getting used to it, but after a while moving his arms around Tommy's neck, moving a little closer. The only thing Nikki could hear was Tommy's breath, and the sound of their lips moving against eachother. Even though he never even wanted to go to the lake in the first place, now that he was there, he never wanted to leave.
