Later, as Nikki and Tommy followed Duff back to their apartment, Vince was once again left alone at Mick's castle, with no one but Mick himself for company. As the door slammed shut behind the three others, Mick turned to Vince, kind of studying his face. "Now listen, Strawberry", he started, "I know you might be really confused right now". Vince nodded his cherry-colored head. "And just so you know", Mick went on, "I'm not turning gay just because everyone else seem to be doing so these days. I just wanted you to know that this is something out of my reach, and as it looks, my feelings right now, are centered around your stupid red head". Vince's eyes widened. He didn't even know that Mick was physically capable of falling in love, or even stranger, fall in love with a guy. Or even stranger than that again, fall in love with a guy whose name was Vince Neil, aka himself. "Any smart words to that, Strawberry?", Mick finished off, getting a simple headshake back from Vince, "Didn't think so". Vince thought things over in his head, his mind going all the way back to when the two of them first met at Mick's job at the Hardware store, when Mick thought he was a girl. All of these memories were flashing past him, stuff like when he used Mick's toothbrush for his own teeth, or when the two of them shared Mick's bed after he had just broken up with Axl. After reviewing all of his memories with Mick, his head brought him back to these last confusing days. "Wait", he said, even though Mick wasn't planning on going anywhere, "So... you're like... in love with me..?" Mick sighed, looking as though he was getting pretty tired of this. "I guess", he said, making Vince's eyes open wide again, heat quickly rising to his cheeks. Vince quickly formulated a decent answer in his head, and decided to just get on with it as Mick might fall asleep if this went on for much longer. "Uhm...", he started, "Do you... uh... you know, only if you want to... maybe be... my boyfriend..?" He said that last word as slowly as possible, making sure he didn't have to say it again. Mick sighed, but this time with a smile. "Sure", he said, preparing himself for the biggest hug of a lifetime. Vince wrapped his arms around the lanky guitarist, for the first time in years actually crying, and this time it would be happy tears. "I kinda love you though", he whispered, burying his face in Mick's long black hair. Mick chuckled. "I guess I love you too, then".

It was already pretty late as the three arrived at Nikki and Tommy's apartment. "God, I'm exhausted", Nikki exhaled, dumping down on the couch. Tommy sat down next to him, placing an arm around his shoulders. "Me too", he said, closing his eyes. Nikki rested his head against Tommy's chest, tired after another day of the exhaustion of being in Mötley Crüe. Pretending to be thirsty, Duff went into the kitchen to find himself a glass of water, not wanting to interrupt the sweet moment the two others were having. Nikki closed his eyes, his mind drifting off as he fell asleep, Tommy joining him shortly after. They had totally forgotten about the fact that Duff was also there, needing a place to sleep. He realized that the two had fallen asleep, and decided to just spend the night in one of the kitchen chairs, not wanting to wake them up.

Vince's eyes opened slowly, as they were struggling getting used to the brightness of the room. He scratched his head thinking that he had just gotten the best sleep in days. Squinting his eyes, he looked around the room, spotting some expensive furniture and black decorations. This was Mick's house, and he had been sleeping... on the couch? No? Sure didn't feel like it. He sat up and scratched his head once again, turning to look at the clock on the wall, which he couldn't see because... Mick was in the way? What!? He had been sleeping... on Mick's lap!? Oh god, Mick was going to freak – no, wait. They were a couple now, and Vince smiled just by the thought. He looked over at Mick, who was still sleeping. His hat was casting shadows on his face, and his hair was hanging in front of the parts the hat didn't cover. Vince tilted his head to the side, adoring Mick as he was sleeping. Some might find that creepy, but Vince knew Nikki and Tommy, and pretty much anybody with a properly working brain knew that Nikki and Tommy were way worse than that. As he thought about it, Nikki probably had an entire Polaroid collection of a sleeping Tommy Lee back in his apartment. "Ugh...", Mick groaned, removing the hat from his face, only to put it back on its original place: his head. He turned and met Vince's eyes. "Mhpf... Morning", he mumbled. "Morning", Vince replied happily. "Slept good?", Mick asked, scratching his back, getting a nod back from Vince. "How 'bout you?", the redhead went on. "Not bad", Mick replied, getting up from the couch, "Breakfast?" Vince nodded, and Mick stretched the sleep out of his body, walking into the kitchen. Vince, polite as he is, made himself feel at home and switched the TV on. Mick looked into one of the glass doors of his kitchen cabinets, and caught himself smiling foolishly as he saw the reflection of Vince wiping the sleep out of his eyes. That Mick had even went this far was so silly, he almost couldn't believe it himself.
