Guang but her lip and shivered on her way to piano and sighed deeply. In another universe, she'd have chewed out an A class jerk by now- speaking of which, maybe that universe was this one. An A ranking girl with a few others around her stood in front of one of Guang's classmates. Who also had a few others on her own side. Despite the two groups standing face to face, the only words passing were insults to the lower class.
Sighing through her nose, Guang made her way over to her friends.
"Now now, what do we have here? Another rat's come over to squeak?" The girl from A class laughed and flipped her curly hair over her shoulder.
Guang took a moment to.....let's say, assess, the situation. The girl that stood in front of her was new. Plainly by how she wasn't wearing the uniform like everyone else. She also had a purse hanging from her arm, and her little group was filled with easy to sway students of A class. Guang could spot a few boys that she'd bashed before behind her too.
"Well, are you going to answer me or are you too dumb to respond?" The girl asked placing a hand on her small waist.
"I do so happen to be too dumb to respond to someone like you. Which means you might as well save your efforts and go to your next class instead. Also, don't try calling my classmates idiots and things like that. Just spread the word that the dumbest person you have ever met is me." Guang put her hands in her jacket pockets and smiled pleasantly.
The girl, who Guang saw her name was Ming, rolled her eyes with a frustrated scoff. Ming fanned her face and checked the mirror for anything that could have messed up her makeup. From just a little bit off, Hei An stood by with a smile on his face. He'd seen everything unfold from his spot by the doorway, and as he was stepping forward towards Guang, Ming noticed him.
"Oh! Hei An~ this girl bullied me" Ming whined, and latched herself unto Hei An's arm. He raised an eyebrow at Guang who watched next to them.
"Well, do something about it~ aren't you supposed to be the one who's my knight in shining armor?" Ming snuggled up to Hei An even more.
Guang began to look a bit more annoyed. Hei An began to look even more uncomfortable. The situation became intensely awkward. Guang took a step towards Hei An and glanced the scene of the two up and down"Right. I guess you really were just playing around with me in the first place." Guang smiled bitterly at Hei An and walked away to class. Hei An watched after her with a pain in his chest and a a worried look on his face. Ming noticed and tugged on his arm again.
"Don't worry about her, she's delusional." Ming scowled in the direction Guang had went in and Hei An whipped around to meet eyes with a now smiling Ming.
"You're the delusional one here," Hei An growled, and without a look back, ran to find Guang.
He ran past the piano class before he stopped abruptly by the door. From inside he heard a song being played, the piano echoed solemnly around the room. Hei An opened the door just a crack and peeped inside. From there he saw Guang sitting at the piano, her eyes closed and eyebrows brought together in focus and so much more. Her hands were slow but kept time.
It could remind someone of longing. A crush that they had loved sincerely, but couldn't reach, or it ended badly. It brang the good times up to mind of when that person was in their life, but with an edge of pain always lingering. Guang's breathing staggered for a second before she eased into the second half of the song, where the song became lower and quieter. Guang's hands stretched and her body leaned to make room for the last notes as they spanned from one end of the piano to the other. With the last note, she looked up at her teacher, and bowed her head as clapping erupted from the students.
Hei An's chest spiked with a pinch of pain and he placed a hand on his heart. He knew it was because of Guang. The way he nearly rushed in to hold her in his arms proved it. Guang glanced up to the seat where Hei An had put himself and immediately looked away. Hei An was going to have to climb up a hill pushing a boulder to get back to Guang.
Guang took a seat in the front row. The further away she was from Hei An the better it was for her. All he did was mess with her mind and feelings anyways. Ming or whatever could have him. Guang let out a sigh and wiped her face quickly as tears formed in her eyes, blurring the sight of her papers. The teacher, our lovely experienced old teacher, noticed and immediately sent Guang out of the classroom and outside to get some air. Noticing this, Hei An snuck out as soon as the teacher's back was turned and left to follow Guang.
Inside the gym, Lee and Khanh stood across from each other. Lee was nervously glancing around to the master and to his new classmates. Khanh was smiling at Lee playfully.
"Okay, okay. You don't have to be like that. I promise not to hurt you. At least not a lot." Khanh sent a knee weakening smile at Lee, but whether it was from how she looked or how anxious he was, he wasn't sure.
"Begin!" Master called out, and quickly hid behind one of the students nearby.
Immediately Khanh made the first move and fainted like she was going to hit Lee from the Right side and as he veered to the left, she knocked him down with a soft kick to the back of the knees and held him down. Khanh smiled down at Lee, her hand on his chest and the other by his head. Their noses apart by mere centimeters again. Flustered, Lee moved his arms to wrap around Khanh and quickly rolled over. Reversing the positions.
"Hey! This is a fight! Not a lover's play fight!" Someone shouted out, and as a reply received a thwak to the head from Master. Laughter filled the room while Lee and Khanh helped each other up. Resuming their beginning positions the two began again. Time after time they exchanged kicks and punches, with a few landing here and there.
Despite being out of breath and feeling bruised in a few places, the two watched each other happily and kept a light tenderness to each touch. Once their sparring time was over the two sat away from the others side by side.
"I can't believe you took it easy on me!" Lee exclaimed, a smile playing on his lips as he threw his hands up.
"Oh shut up, just be glad you hit me a few times," Khanh laughed and took Lee's water from his hands and drank from it.
Lee watched Khanh for a moment, his eyes showing an overflowing amount of fondness and happiness. He was blissful.
"Alright, class is over, so I'm gonna go and grab my things." Khanh made her way to get up but was stopped as Lee took her hand in his.
"Let's go together, I want to ask you something later anyways," Lee stood up and Khanh nodded as everyone began to leave.
