its been a week since fleur and calum had seen each other. while calum was away from work, since emilia worked from home, arabella would stay with her.
calum couldnt wait for the weekend to come after a long busy work. although the two of them were away from each other, calum and her would text or call, play some 8-ball (calum the one that always wins).
at night, he'd really think about her most. how much he missed her in that moment and that "L" word. he decided that the next time he sees fleur he was going to tell her his true feelings. the only thing was that, he didnt know how.
"excuse me? sir? excuse me!" he heard someone say, calum spun around and there was a mom with her son who was about arabella's age.
"oh, sorry. yes?" he asked, a bit embarrassed he dazed off.
"you're price scanner is broken." she said. her son held a toy in his hands.
"oh im so sorry for the inconvenience miss, there should be another one where the paper towels and plates are in the back." he smiled at her and the child. the lady nodded and she said a quick thank you before walking off. once they were gone he sighed and went back to stocking dog toys.
after work, he went to luke & amelia's apartment to get arabella. when he came in, arabella saw him and dropped her toy. "DADDY!" she screamed and ran to him on her tiny legs.
he crouched down to her level and opened his arms. she ran into his chest and swept her up and gave her kisses. "i missed you so much baby." he said and she giggled.
"i did too daddy!" she said and held on to him tight. ameilia came out of her room and waved and calum.
"hi, thanks again." he smiled and put arabella down and went to hug her too.
"no problem. arabella is always good as always." she smiled.
"by the way, can i talk to you for a sec?" he asked and got a little nervous.
"yeah sure." ameilia nodded.
"baby ill be right back, i need to have adult talk." he told arabella. the two went to her room and she sat on the edge of the bed and he leaned against the wall.
"okay so... theres this girl ive been talking to for a while. shes really nice and arabella loves her and just, i want her to be my girlfriend now but i dont know how and youre my only friend thats a girl and so i wanted to know how you think i should do it." calum said as he played with his fingers.
ameilia gasped but then "awwed". "yeah totally! aw calum im so happy for you! oh my gosh, luke and i can go shopping and look for cute things and the boys can help set up on the day.." she rambled in excitement.
"but i dont even know what to do yet." he laughed.
"okay so i think, what you should do make the apartment look at pretty with lights and have a cute little dinner and then maybe... sing to her." ameilia said with a smirk.
"noooo ameilia i havent sang like i use to." calum said.
"exactly, do it for her. c'mon calum shell love it. does she even know you were in a band in high school?" she laughed.
"no, she doesnt. and i dont know what ill sing to her." he shrugged.
"just go threw your music and find a cute song kay? leave the rest to me, luke and i will go shopping for you, you can pay me back later." she said.
"oh... okay then thanks," he smiled. "youre great ameilia."
"i know i am." she smiled wide and the two of them walked out the bedroom.
