The Demon Otter

For the rest of the day Lucy, Ryuu, and Dray ( Who was currently passed out on Ryuu's back when he offered to take her when she was still dazed on Lucy's). They walked until the came across a lake and decided to take a break.

Ryuu gently laid Dray down on the grass as Lucy stood there smiling at how sweet he was being towards he little girl. Ryuu looked over towards Lucy giving her a soft smile as he pressed a finger on his lips as a sign to be quiet. Lucy nodded head pointing her finger towards the lake where they could talk freely without waking up the little girl. Without a second thought Ryuu got up and started walking towards the lake with Lucy in tow. When they got the lake Ryuu took off his boots and socks throwing them behind his head not caring where they landed as he put his feet in the cool water. Lucy rolled her eyes as she took her boots off as well, But instead of throwing them over her head like Ryuu did she just set them down neatly on a rock that was near the shore. She sighed as her feet hit the cool water swishing them around churning up the water as she did so. Ryuu looked over to Lucy with a worried look the memory of what happened when she had encountered her Guild mates still plagued his mind.

Just as he was about to ask about it Lucy had interrupted him by asking"  So do you really see all the memories of all that you copy from?" Ryuu raised a eyebrow wondering where that question had came from but let it go as he answered" Well like I said earlier I need to see their memories so that I can copy there moves and all that stuff, But to answer your question no not really just the stuff about their magic, what they learned from it, and how to not kill yourself with it. Soooo just the major stuff." Ryuu smirked at Lucy who was glaring at him, and before he new it there was a glob of mud in his face. Ryuu started spitting out the mud that had ended up in his mouth wiping his face with his left hand as he complained" Seriously Lucy what was that for? what did I do to you!"   His reply was only another face full of mud. 

Lucy crossed her arms as she huffed when she said" That was for lying to me! you said that you saw all my memories and that you saw all of everyone else's too!!!" Ryuu growled as he wiped off his face again trying to clear it from mud, but he only made it smear making his face have a tint of brown to it. Ryuu rolled his eyes as he explained" Well with learning Magic I have to look at the bad memories as well especially when your magic develops  it shows me how your magic developed or when something Major happened when you used your magic that would change it! it gives me a headache to explain all of that to people so I just tell them that I see all of their memories just to shut them up, But to tell you the truth sometimes I see memories that don't involve magic at all. it confuses me as to why I see them." Lucy just stared at him with a look of sympathy, But that look was quickly wiped off when a chunk of mud landed on her face.

Lucy growled as she wiped off her face give Ryuu who was smirking evilly, a death glare. After wiping her face Lucy was about to tell him when she saw a chunk of mud hit Ryuu upside the head sending the poor teen into the ice cold lake in front of them from the force of the hit. Lucy turned her head to where the mud had been thrown and saw Dray standing there with some mud dripping from her right hand, A wicked grin spread across her face from hitting her target directly where she wanted.

Lucy shivered in fright from the look that didn't really suit the little girl, it kind of made her look like a little demon in her opinion. Lucy suppressed the feeling of fear she had as she asked" When did you wake up?" Dray just shrugged her shoulders as she skipped towards Lucy. When she got to her Dray took off her boots and put them next to Lucy's as she said" Just a few moments ago, I'm confused as to why I woke up in a field, The last thing I remember was that thing that resembled a dragon of some sorts roaring and then the next thing I knew I was waking up to the sounds of a argument! Anyways what happened after to that monster?" Lucy giggled at her then she explained to her what happened when she apparently blacked out. 

By the end of the story Dray whined out" I missed seeing a Giant Samurai?!?!? that's so unfair!!!!!" at the last part Dray dramatically threw her hands up in the air as she flopped on her back with a big sigh. Lucy giggled at the girls silliness, but that soon came to a stop when she noticed that a certain silver haired boy wasn't around. Lucy scanned the area for any sign of the cocky boy anywhere but saw no sign of him.

Lucy turned her head towards Dray who had sat up when she saw Lucy looking around worriedly. still looking around Lucy asked" Hey Dray did you see Ryuu get out of the water?" Dray shook her head rubbing her finger against her chin as she mumbled out" No I don't think he even came up yet..........."  When Dray and Lucy made eye contact they stared at each other with wide eyes as they both exclaimed" OH MY GOSH RYUU!!!!!!" With that said the two blonds bounded to the water in search of their silver haired friend.

While searching frantically threw the water they a glimpse of what looked a body that resembled Ryuu's struggling under water trying to get its head free from a hole of some sorts. Lucy and Dray ran towards the body trying to help get its head unstuck. Dray had a grip on the back of Ryuu's pants while Lucy had a grabbed onto his shoulders trying to pull his head free while hearing muffled screams from under the water and mud. Lucy growled when his head was still stuck in the hole. Looking towards Dray who looked at her as she ordered" Okay on the count of three give it all you got okay, One....., Two....., THREE!!!!" With one hard pull Ryuu's head came free with a big popping sound coming from suction of the mud. 

Ryuu lifted his head gasping for air. mud was all over his face as well as some blood coming from scratches of some sort. He Just glared at the to girl in front of him sitting down in the water as he gasped out" What..* gasp* took you * gasp* Guys..*gasp* So long!?!" the Girls just sweat dropped they scratched their cheeks not look directly at him as they nervously chuckled out" We didn't notice.....?" Ryuu scowled as he said" well when you guys weren't "noticing."  making quotation marks with his fingers at the statement as he went on" I was drowning and being attacked by a evil otter!!! apparently they don't like big heads breaking down their doors!!!!!" when he finished the girls were giggling at him making his sour mood even worse as he exclaimed" It's not Funny!!!" Dray couldn't hold it in anymore and started to bust out laughing collapsing into the water at the thought of a otter attacking someone and winning it was down right ridiculous! Lucy just giggled as she said" Oh but it is, how can someone lose to a otter?" Ryuu just Growled as he got up exclaiming" Don't  you  believe me? I'm telling the truth!!" Dray just nodded her head as she sarcastically said"Sure Ryuu we believe you." Ryuu just growled and was about to get out of the water when something dark and slim sprung out of the water latching its self onto Ryuu's face with a loud screech!

 Ryuu screamed as he fell back into the with something attacking his face, He heard the girls scream when the thing had sprung out of the water like a rocket onto at him. With a bit of struggling Ryuu managed to get a hold on the slippery figure and ripped it off his face and sent it flying onto the dry ground. When it went flying it let out a huge screech as it hit the ground. Lucy and Dray just stared dumbfounded at what they where seeing. They saw that the thing that was attacking Ryuu's face was a actual otter! When it landed on the ground it got up and hissed at them as it went off the other side of the lake somewhere.

Ryuu turned towards the with smug smirk as he stated" well would you look at that? It's a O-T-T-E-R!" He slowly pronounced the otter part to state what he said earlier when they were laughing at him. With that said he smugly walked out the water leaving two stunned girl behind to comprehend what just happened.
