As Grandine was healing Ryuu's wounded hand she saw Metalicana hovering over Lucy with a sly smile on his face. Without turning her head Grandine questioned" What do you think you're doing to my patient Rust Bucket?" This was returned with an evil cackle as he replied" Oh nothing special, just adding some touches that's all." cackling even more as he admired his work.

After making sure that the silver-headed teen's hand was fully healed, the pinkette turned to see what her friend had done, only to let out a laugh of her own. When she turned to see what Metalicana had done she saw that the old Iron Dragon had put a small round studded nose piercing on the right side of the blonde's nose. With another laugh, she saw Metalicana looking down smugly at the girl, but if you looked closely you could see a hint of worry within his silver eyes.

As they sat there Grandine couldn't help but notice that magic was coming off the iron stud and seemed to be covering the sleeping girl in a protective way. Before she could say anything about it, Metalicana gruffly stated" I put a protection spell on it, hopefully, it will help keep... Whatever is going on with her at bay." This earned a thought full hum from Grandine. With dragging a hand through her pink hair Grandine sighed" I honestly don't know what's going on with her memories anymore. The exchange spell from the book is like the  soul spell we placed on the kids, and."

" The side effects of the spell is starting to wear off by now. But that doesn't explain why she's unconscious like this without showing any signs of waking up... It also doesn't help that I can also sense Acnologia's magic rising more...." Metalicana finished the two of them eyeing the flaming markings on Lucy's arm. 

Taking a quick glance at Dray who was currently in Ryuu's lap. The two of them had fallen asleep against the wall sometime before Grandine and Metalicana started talking.

 A small amused smile graced his face at the sight, he turned his face towards Grandine as he said " At least she's not alone on this, it's good to have someone of your own kind to talk to rather than other beings." This earned a sharp jab to the ribs. With a small chuckle, he continued" If she's anything like Acnologia and Anna, She'll pull through..." He trailed as his thoughts were dragged elsewhere.

Grandine watched as the old Dragon starred down at the blonde with a blank look, but within his eyes, she saw that there was a flash of recognition. With spike curiousness, the Sky Dragon looked between Lucy and Metalicana trying to figure out what the connection was.

 After glance between the two, Grandine followed Metalicana's line of sight and saw that he was staring at the iron stud on the girl's nose. When she looked at the stud she was reminded of a black-haired boy with similar piercings.

Then it finally came to her, Grandine's eyes widened as she whispered" This happened before, hasn't it? With Gajeel." Sharply turning towards the Dragon as she said this. Without looking away from Lucy, Metalicana spat out" Did you think that all those piercings were a fashion choice?" Before she could reply he muttered" Don't answer that."  making a small amused smile appear on the pinkettes face at the sharp command.

Grandine listened intently as he explained" It happened after one of our meetings when we brought the children along. Gajeel had been pretty quiet the rest of the trip back, which was odd for him seeing as he would usually complain about Igneel's Brat. When I tried getting something out of him, he only said that he was tired. So I just left it be thinking that it was nothing... But the next day when I tried to wake him up, he didn't. After trying to wake him up for the third time I noticed that his breathing started to get out of control and that his magic was starting to go haywire and-."

Before he could continue Grandine finished" And you did the only thing you could think of, you placed those studs that were infused with your magic to help calm his own... I have to say that was some good quick thinking." This earned a small snort from the Iron Dragon as he scoffed" Yeah sure, some quick thinking I basically made him look more like a punk than he already did." Grandine had to put her hand over her mouth to contain the giggles that wanted to burst out.
