The Golden string

Natsu left the library thinking over what Lucy said'YOU DON'T EVEN KNOW WHAT I WENT THROUGH FROM THE BATTLE OF TARTAROUS!!!!!!' What didn't he know? He thought that she told him everything that happened to her during the Tartorous battle... Apparently not. Natsu walk's over to the bar with a sour look across his face. Mira look's towards him wondering what happened. She walks over to him and asked" Soooooooo~ what happened?" giving a small smile as he sat down with a huff. 

 Natsu sighs, running a hand through his hair muttered" Nothing good... Everything was fine at first. Until I asked her about why she went on those's mission's and not taking me with her... Saying that we're partners and all. She said 'that she needed the rent money and that the last time she checked we didn't have to do everything together.' or something along those's lines. Then that's when everything went downhill... I think she's still mad about me leaving without saying goodbye." Mira leaned on the bar as Natsu told her more of what happened.

 "But I think she's being unfair, it's not like she lost someone during the battle like me and the other Dragon Slayers. Like shouldn't she understand why I left? So I told her that she was being unfair that she wasn't the only one affected from the Battle of Tartarus and that she was being a spoiled brat for ignoring us. But she slapped me before I could say anything else yelling that I don't even know what she went through from the battle of Tartarus. And before you say anything I know what I said was wrong and I was going to apologize but she told me to leave." The fire wizard glared down at his hands as the guilt was building in his chest.

 Mira stood there looking at Natsu as if he just declared that he loved ice. Eye's wide as her mouth was slightly open. When Natsu finally got fed up with Mira's staring at him for the past five minutes he exclaimed"What do I have something on my face!?" he started to touch his face to wipe off anything that was there. He stopped when He Heard Mira giggling. 

She smiled and said" No silly!!! I was surprised that you realized that what you said was rude." Natsu glared at her as he whined" Heh!?! I can realize stuff! But anyways do you know what happened to Lucy during the battle of Tartarus, because she hasn't told me anything only that she had beaten two Demons." Stopping what she was doing she tried to remember if Lucy ever really told them what she did to free them...

 Mira looked at the glass that she had been wiping down as she thought ' Now that I think about I don't recall Lucy giving us any details about what happened during her battle with Jackal and the other Demons...'  Setting the glass to the side she  said" She never told us anything in detail of what happened. But now that I think about it she was distant then too. Always in the library, like she is now, I wonder why." Mira looked up while putting her finger on her chin thinking of why Lucy was acting that way. She didn't notice that Natsu was lost in his own thoughts wondering what secret that Lucy is keeping from them.

Lucy stood up from where she sat on the floor with the strange book in hand and walked over to one of the chairs of the library. When she sat down, She just stared at the cover of the dragon with the clear gems that made it look like a familiar constellation that she saw once when she was a kid. Lucy fiddled with the leather string that was around the book when she finally untied the string she felt a wave of magic power wash over her like a warm blanket that just came out the drier. Lucy dropped the book quickly when she felt some attach to her hand.

When Lucy looked down she saw a golden string wrapping around her hand, It felt like the magic come from the book warm and inviting. Like she was in a trance Lucy watched as the string went up her arm, Lucy felt it go up to her shoulder and around her neck. By the time it got to her neck her eye's had a glazed look to them, her body went limp as the string went to Lucy's right eye. The string glowed when it made it to Lucy's eye, a golden glowing aura surrounded Lucy's body as her eye's started to show a golden magic circle with a star in the middle.
