Within the Wall

Lucy stared intently at the darkened ruby that was embedded into the wall in front of her. The magic pull, that was guiding her towards the small gem was starting to wane as the gem started to lose its shine.  Every time She tried to touch the jewel she felt the heat that emanated from the lava in front of her burn at her skin as if she just put her hand right over a hot fire.  

The Steller mage was brought out of her thoughts on how she was going to get to the Gem when there was a loud yelping sound that came from the entrance to the room. When she turned around she saw that everyone was standing at the entrance to the room, while Ryuu was hopping on one foot as the other he was holding had smoke coming from the sole of his boot. A smile spread across her as she watched the funny sight of Ryuu bouncing around on his foot. She took a glance at the others seeing that they were also very amused by his actions seeing the amused smiles on their faces, their eyes following Ryuu as he hopped around.

Lucy let out a laugh as she asked" What are you doing?" Ryuu froze in place when he heard her voice, giving her a glare as he sarcastically said" Oh I'm just hopping around just for the heck of it. What do you think I'm doing!? Do you not see the smoke coming from my boot right now?!" He gestured to his boot that still had small trails of smoke coming from it.

With an amused grin on her face, she asked another question" How did that happen anyways?" Ryuu glanced at the ground where her feet were at with a confused look as he answered"I stepped on the floor that you're on and it was too hot to stand on... How are you standing on it isn't it too hot?" Lucy glanced down at her feet seeing nothing wrong and only felt a small amount of pain from the heat.

So with a shrug, Lucy turned back towards the mural her eyes landing on the ruby and she swore that for a moment she saw what looked like a fire within the jewel. 

Ryuu glanced towards Lucy when she went a little silent. Setting his foot back on the ground he and the other's watched Lucy just stare at what looked like a mural of a dragon that surrounded a red stone. When Ryuu tried to step into the room once more but only hissed in pain as he felt his foot getting burnt from the boiling hot stone.   

With retreating back to where the others were he looked at Lucy worryingly, as he saw that her skin looked a little pink from the heat that surrounded her and that she was panting heavily as well.  Ryuu leaned in towards the entrance as far as he could without stepping in and called out" Hey Lucy, please don't take this the wrong way but, your not looking so good, so, just hurry up and get that dragon out and we get out of here okay?" 

His call was ignored as Lucy stared at the ruby watching as the small fire started to grow and form into a dragon with glowing yellow eyes from within the jewel. As she stared at the Jewel she didn't notice that the lava started to rise from the small stream onto the rock where she was standing on.

Everyone started to freak out when they saw the lava started to rise and were calling out to the blonde who seemed to be in her own little world as she walked towards the ruby. The blonde raised her hand ignoring the burning sensation that erupted from her arm as she placed her hand on to the Jem. 

When the blonde touched the Ruby she felt a sense of warmth wash over her getting rid of the burning sensation. The sensation made her able to breathe easier getting rid of the suffocating feeling, giving her some strength to start to try and pull the gem from its place in the wall. But when she tried to pull, her hand started to sink into the ruby until her arm was elbow deep into the jewel. Lucy was knocked out of her daze when she was soon being pulled into the jewel. Screaming Lucy took a step back trying to pull her self out, only to scream in pain when her foot felt like it was on fire.
