CASSANDRA

My alarm shocks me out of my sleep. I let out a loud groan as I stretch my limbs. I scratch my head and I suddenly freeze.

"What happened yesterday was real," I say to no one, dumbfounded.

*Mini Flashback*

"S-sugar cake?" I repeat back confused, that's a terrible pet name.

Ajay smiles against my neck, causing a shiver to chill down my spine, "I'm horrible with pet names. I guess that's why my ex-broke up with me...and other things."

"Like what?" I ask without thinking.

Ajay shrugs, "Guess I liked her too much."

A strange feeling came over me, almost like this stranger had betrayed me. I slipped my right hand from his chest and hit him in the throat-- I will have to thank Mika for that trick.

Ajay stumbles back, gasping and I walk away from him casually, locking my car after checking if my phone and card were in my back pocket.

"What was that for?" Ajay choked out, rubbing his neck.

I kept walking as a grumble under my breath, "I don't know honestly."

"You'll pay for that Cass!" Ajay yelled across the parking lot.

I smile to myself, I kinda' hope I do?

*End Flashback*

I lie in bed, staring at my ceiling, "God, if I do meet him again, please don't let him be one of those psycho killers that kill people for revenge."

I pick up my phone and notice that it's Friday! The party's tonight!! After that strange encounter with Ajay, I did a little--massive-- shopping and found four possible outfits. I sit up and look at the piled bags from varies stores and shrug, I'll have the girls decide when they come over tonight.

I get out of bed and begin my morning routine, I grab my toothbrush, paste, and hoop in the shower. Once I was done, I throw on my under garments and look for a warm but cute outfit; I go with a loose off white blouse, dark jeans, and a wool cardigan with teal blue flats.

I grab my purse and car keys and head down stairs to find my older sister dressed in her plain pants suit. I tell her many times that it's not flattering, but she insists on looking like an 80s paralegal. My sister and I weren't that close, mainly because she's a stickler for rules and regulations, and I'm more of a "how much trouble can we do without getting caught" kind of girl. She thinks I need to grow up, but what teenager actually listens.

"Mornin'," I walk over to the counter and grab the box of fruit loops, taking a handful and putting the box back.

"I'm going away for the weekend," my sister states, looking through her phone, "I won't be back until Monday night, so you can stay at one of your friends' if you don't want to stay here. Just make sure you lock the door and set the alarm when you go."

I crunch on a purple loop, "where you off to this time?"

"Costa Rica. The legal team needs to meet with us to talk about the merger," Camilla's apathetic voice stated before she rose from her seat and walked to the door, "Remember. Lock the door and don't have another house party. I can't afford to deal with your mess with this deal controlling my life."

Camilla walks out the door, and I wait until she pulls out of the parking lot to head to school. I punch in the code for the security system while I balance the front door with my right heel, "Who can forget when it seems like this house is more important than my well-being?"
