LUKE
I hate people in my business. Yeah, they're my sisters but...they're my sisters. I don't want anyone in my love life, especially my sisters.
I let out a sigh and remove myself from my siblings' arms. I can hear their questions but I roll my eyes and head up the stairs-- my sisters follow.
"What's her name, Luke?"
"Com'on! Just tell us!"
"PLEASE!!" they both whine.
"Fine," I sigh, opening the door to my room, allowing them in. I know saying nothing and repeatedly saying 'no' wasn't going to get them off my back.
They walk around me and leap onto my well made bed. They grab my pillows, pull them under their heads, and lie down on their stomachs. They wait intentivly for me to begin my tale as I walk into my closet, not liking their eyes on me.
"Well?" Hope states.
"Her name is Mika," I state, pulling my t-shirt over my head and throwing it outside the closet door.
"What does she look like?" Faith says with excitement.
"She...has...nevermind. You'll see her one day," I state stiffly. I didn't want to sound like a lovestruck puppy in front of them.
"Okay...what she like?" Faith asks.
I think for a few seconds, trying to think of what I've picked up from listening in on Aiden and Mika's conversation early today, "Well...she's funny. She likes to box, I think, and she wants to work with kids in the future."
I throw on a black wife-beater, kick off my shoes, and walk back out; I take a seat on my carpeted floor facing my sisters.
"Why did you say 'I think', Luke?" Hope asks with a sly grin playing on her lips.
I glare at her, "Because."
"Because...you didn't talk to her, did you?" Hope says, full blown grin on her face.
I roll my eyes at her and shake my head, "Aiden did but that's because he had advantage."
"Advantage?" Faith pipes in.
I shrug, "He met her at starbucks earlier today while he was waiting for me."
They both nod. A second goes by before both the girls burst into laughter-- they are talking about me through their mind link.
I give them a blank stare before getting up from the floor and start setting up my video game console.
Faith and Hope simmer down and start apologizing for laughing. They get up from my bed and tell me that I should talk to her tomorrow and ask her to the pack party on Saturday.
"Oh, small advice," Hope says with arrogance, "don't tell her you're a wolf any time soon."
Faith nods, "You don't want to freak her out."
I cock an eyebrow, "Then when do I tell her?"
Faith and Hope open their mouths then close them. They look to each other then they just shrug, "When she looks ready?"
I shrug, I guess that makes sense.
"So, when are you going to ask her out, though?" Faith asks.
I shrug, "When I'm ready."
Faith and Hope stare at me and the smile I was hiding so well shows, "I'm kidding. I might ask after the party."
"Oh," both of them say, letting out a big sigh.
I cross my arms over my chest, "Why are you guys so worried? I got this."
Faith and Hope snort, showing their doubt.
"Sorry lil bro'," Hope places a hand on my shoulder, "but you're not the romantic type. That's more up Aiden's ally."
I roll Hope's hand off my shoulder, "I can be romantic. Like I said, I got this."
"Okkayy," they both state with clear doubt but let it go. They each take a seat besides me and grab a game controller, "What are we playing?"
I didn't know we were playing, I state in my head before getting up and looking at the games on the shelf.
"Could we play that game where we're at war and we're shooting people?" Faith asks.
"You mean Call of Duty?" I state before removing the game from its box and putting the CD in the console.
Hope whines about how she hates shooting people while Faith is giddy with excitement. Even though they drive me insane, which they do a lot on purpose, I love them. But I have to say, Faith is my favorite. Hope is cool but a little snobby and likes to be a know-it-all, while Faith goes with the flow and does what spikes her interests.
"Shall we begin?" Faith tries to emulate Morgan Freeman's voice.
I chuckle and take back my seat in between them. As the game goes on, Hope tries to put effort but she is lacking while Faith and I are putting in work. After a couple of minutes, we stop playing because Hope wanted to play Mario-- I only agreed because her whining was getting to my wolf.
We each pick our characters-- I'm King Boo, Hope is Princess Peach, and Faith is Luigi, because her mate loves playing as Luigi.
The night goes on with us yelling at each other, purposely trying to sabotage one another, and laughs.
Spending time with my sisters can be relaxing...
Yeah, when Hope shuts up, my wolf states rolling his eyes.
