Mitch’s POV

“Scott!” I screamed

I sat up in my bed and pulled my knees to my chest and began to cry.

I checked the clock and it said, 3:40 am, ‘Crap.’ I said to myself

I grab my phone and called Kirstie.

“Mitch! It’s four in the morning!” Kirstie said irritated

“Sorry, I’ll let you sleep. Good night Kirst.” I said trying not to cry

“Mitch? What’s wrong?” Kirstie said more concerned

“Can you come over? I’m scared.”

“I’m on my way.”

“Okay thanks bye.” I hung up the phone and starting crying again.

Kirstie’s POV

I woke up the sound of my phone. It’s Mitch.

“Mitch! It’s four in the morning!” I said

Mitch sounded like he has been crying. He asked me to come over so I grabbed my phone and keys. I just walk into Mitch’s place and went to his room.

“Mitch? I'm here. Are you okay?” I said rubbing his back

“I miss Scott. Is he going to die? If he does it is all my fault!” I said through my tears

“Mitch, it’s not your fault. Scott is going to be fine. Let’s go to the living room and I will make you some hot chocolate.” I said while leading him to the living room

Scott’s POV

I just came out of surgery again. I am so out of it and very tired. I was placed back in my room and went straight to sleep.

Kirstie’s POV

I stayed with Mitch until I had to pick-up Scott.

“Mitch, do you want me to go with you?” I asked before leaving

“Yes please.” Mitch gave me a smile

“Let’s go.” I said a few minutes later

We soon arrived at the hospital and Mitch began to shake out of fear from his dream last night.

“Mitch, are you okay?”

“Yeah! I’m ready.”

Mitch’s POV

I began to shake. I could see the dark figures again.

“Not again!” I screamed

“Mitch, what’s wrong?”

“They are going to take him from me again!”

“Mitch, they aren’t going to touch him. Come on, once you see you’ll be fine.”

I began to cry. Kirstie lead me inside and talked to the woman at the front desk. She gave her two visitor passes and we head up to Scott’s room.

“Mitch, you better now?” Kirstie asked me

“A little.” I said while looking down

Scott’s POV

I woke up to knock at the door. “Huh? Oh come in.”

“Scotty? Did we wake you?” Kirstie asked me

“Yes, but it’s okay.” I motioned them to sit.

Mitch looks like he has been crying.

“Mitch, come here please.” I asked

He shook his head and looked out the window. Kirstie walked over to him and told him something but I couldn’t quite hear it.

Mitch got up and sat in front of me. He still hasn’t looked at me.

Kirstie’s POV

After we were got to Scott’s hospital room; Mitch still hasn’t even looked at Scott. Scott invited us to sit near him but he sits as far as he could, which was near the window.

“Mitch, come here please.” Scott said to Mitch

Mitch refused so I went over to him and talked some sense into him.

“Mitch, go sit over there. Tell him how you feeling and what’s been going on.”

“No, Kirstie. He would think it’s stupid.”

“Mitch, go!” I said in a loud whisper

“Fine.”

Mitch’s POV

“Mitch, are you okay?” Scott asked me, “You can tell me anything.”

“I thought I was never going to see you again. I had a dream you didn’t make it. I thought you were going to leave me.” I said trying not to cry

“Oh Mitch, come here.” I got up and sat on Scott's bed. He gave me a big hug and said quietly, “It’s okay. I’m still here and I will never leave you. I love you, Mitchie and I love you too Kirstie.”
