Chapter 19: Do You Still Love Me

Scott’s POV

I can’t believe what I’m hearing. Some random guy came up to Mitch and kissed him. And he was with Kirstie! He must’ve seen the gift. I was so upset and frustrated I punched the wall that was right next to Mitch’s head.

Mitch screamed which woke Kevin and Avi.

“What was that noise?” Avi asked.

He saw my hand in the hole in the wall then he saw how close it was to Mitch.

“Scott! My wall. What’s gotten into you?” Avi said getting up

I hear Kirstie and Mitch quietly talking. I didn’t want to talk to them at all.

Mitch’s POV

Scott’s expression changed; it changed very quickly. The next thing I see is Scott’s fist coming close to me, which made me scream. I hear when his fist collided with the wall. We woke Avi and Kevin with this ruckus.

“Scott! My wall. What’s gotten into you?” Avi said getting up.

“Mitch. Are you okay?” Kirstie asked me

I looked at Scott, who had tears in his eyes.

I’m going to end up driving him away from me.

“No, he almost hit me.” I said quietly.

“He wasn’t aiming for you. It’s okay.”

Scott left and drove off. I hope he is safe.

Kirstie’s POV

Scott almost hit Mitch! He has never been aggressive since the incident. We also woke up Avi and Kevin so we explained what happened after Scott stormed out of the house.

“Oh Scott. I hope you are okay.” Mitch said.

I finally notice the hole and gasped.

“Avi! I’m so sorry.” I said.

“It’s okay.”

Avi seemed so calm I wish I knew his secret.

Scott’s POV

I stormed out of Avi’s house and drove away. I didn’t know where to go but I wanted this stress off of me so I drove to a local bar.

I’ve been out for about an hour or two and had about four shots and two large glasses of beer. After the third shot and the first beer everything was a big blur.

I remember getting angry with someone for something then getting punched in the face for not backing off. Soon after I hit the ground and my head was hurting greatly. I got up and he hit me in the side where I was stabbed. It was still a little sensitive so it hurt. Then he hit me in the stomach and in the face once again.

Mitch’s POV

I left Avi’s house and headed home. Kirstie tagged along to make sure I was okay.

It was around midnight when Kirstie crashed on the couch. I put a blanket over her because it gets cold in here at night.

I finally get to sleep when my phone went off. It was the local hospital so I answered it.

“Mitchell Grassi speaking.” I never use my real name unless it’s important.

“Hi Mitchell. Is this a bad time?” the woman on the phone said.

“No, not at all. What’s going on?”

“Your friend, Scott Hoying, got in a fight at a bar and currently in the hospital. He was intoxicated so we are removing all the alcohol we can.”
