My Love

Chapter 2: Wanting a Family

*Mitch's POV*

"Come on, Sky. It's time to go to school." I say to my sweet daughter. She is starting sixth grade and I am so happy for her. "Scott is her lunch ready?" I yell as I exit Sky's bedroom.

"It's all good Mitch. I got everything ready." Scott replied while putting her drink into her lunch box.

"Come on Skylar. You're going to be late and there can't really be any excuses because it's a five minute walk from here." I tell her as she exits her room.

"I'm coming!" she replied and gave Scott a hug and then came to me and hugged me. I watch her from the front door as she walks across the street. I see a car speeding and then I yelled to Sky to stop but it was too late. And BAM! The car hit her. I began to scream in pain.

All of a sudden I was awoken to a thud from the other room. I started to cry but I tried not to let Scott hear me. I have always wanted children ever since I was eight years old. I was hesitating because of those terrible dreams I get. Also I don't know what Scott is going to think of this. He might freak out but we would always find a way to compromise. I look at the time, 2:49. 'Great' I thought to myself. I got up and went to see what made that noise. I walk into Scott's room, thinking to find him fast asleep, but he was on the floor rubbing his head and upper arm.

*Scott's POV*

I finally get to sleep. I was awoken by a scream coming from Mitch's room. It startled me and it made me jump; it made me jump so much I fell off my bed and right on my arm and head. I heard someone getting up and figured it was Mitch.

"Mitch are you okay?" I asked as I get up slowly. Mitch didn't respond just stood there with his eyes looking down at the ground. "Mitch will you look at me please." I asked. I am very concerned because this is the fifteenth time Mitch has done this, this month. Mitch looked up and his eyes were red and tears were falling down his face. I get up and gave him a hug and leaded him back into his room.

"Do you need anything before I leave?" I pick up his hand and kissed it ever so gently

"Scott, will you stay in here with me?" replied Mitch trying not to cry again

"Of course I will."

*Mitch's POV*

I need to tell Scott about the dreams. I have lied about them and I hate lying to him so it makes me feel even worse.

"Mitchy, do you want to talk about these dreams?" Scott replied quietly while he played with my short hair.

I was a little hesitant to mention wanting to have kids but I build the courage and asked Scott while slowly lifting my head. "Do you think we could have children? Like adopting one or two."

Scott's expression kind of scared me because he looked startled.

*Scott's POV*

Did Mitch just ask about children? Yes, yes he did. "Whatever you want Mitchy; whatever you want." I replied and slowly drifted off to sleep and so did he.
