Mitch’s POV
It’s been eight months since Scott has been having problems. I’m so glad he is better. I’m so glad he is better. It’s good to have him back.
“Mitch?” Scott yelled.
“What Scott?”
“You, me date tonight.”
“Demanding? I like it!”
Scott and I have been dating for seven years tomorrow. He never fails to surprise me each year. I’m so happy and excited for tonight; I hope Scott is too.
Scott’s POV
I got a plan for tonight. I’m going to propose. Mitch and I have been together for seven years. I let him wait long enough.
- That Night -
I got dressed really nice but still casual.
“Mitch, are you ready?”
“Yep. You look great.”
“As do you.”
We got into the car then jammed out to, whom else, Beyoncé.
“Where are we going Scotty?” Mitch asked.
“It’s a surprise.”
Mitch’s POV
I guess I dozed off because we got there in no time.
“Mitch. Wake up we are here. Just don’t open your eyes.” Scott told me.
Scott led me around and made sure I didn’t fall. Then we went onto a rocky surface. It didn’t feel like the ground so I assumed we were in a boat of some sort.
“Okay now open.”
What I saw was jaw dropping and that is basically what happened to me.
Scott’s POV
I brought Mitch to a lake and the moon was out and full. I have lanterns everywhere. I led him out to a boat, which was filled with rose petals. We went out to the middle of the lake and had my phone ready to signal to Kirstie, Kevin, and Avi.
“Okay now open.” I told Mitch.
Mitch’s reaction was amazing. He had to take it all in and I gave him a minute or two.
“Scott. Is this all for me?” Mitch asked.
“All of it and more.” I replied.
“Do you like?” I ask.
“I love!”
I look at my watch, 11:57. It’s time. I got down on my knee.
“Mitch. I’ve loved you since the very beginning. You are my everything. You hold me together and I want to be with you forever. Be there in your ups and downs. Mitchell Coby Michael Grassi will you marry me?”
“Yes!” Mitch screamed.
I sent my message to Kirstie and she set the doves free.
I grabbed Mitch’s face with care while standing up, kissing him right at midnight.
Then the birds flew up above us, which causes Mitch to look up and smile.
“I love you.” Mitch said quietly.
“I love you too Mitchie.” I replied hugging him.
