Mid-morning, at school
Jeongguk begins to put his books into his locker, taking them one by one out of his bag and into the locker.
"Wow Jeon, you've really done it again." A voice says, coming from behind where Jeongguk was standing.
Jeongguk could recognize that voice from a mile away, he hears it too often than he should, automatically rolling his eyes and sighing, it was Myungsoo.
He choses to ignore the voice like nothing happened, still sorting out his equipment for the day ahead.
"You managed to gel your hair so hard down, not even one hair is sticking up!" Myungsoo continues, laughing and pointing to Jeongguk's hair, attempting to knock on Jungkook's hair to see if it would produce sound.
Jeongguk slams his locker closed, "Leave me alone, Myungsoo."
Jeongguk's statement causes Myungsoo to scoff, "And just why would-" Myungsoo begins, but doesn't finish, due to someone calling his name.
"Kim Myungsoo!" A teacher calls. Myungsoo whips his head in the direction of the call. Jeongguk finds his perfect opportunity to escape the wrath of Myungsoo, swiftly storming out of Myungsoo's presence, sighing in relief, grateful, that teacher saved him.
Jeongguk walks to his usual spot to eat his food, a peaceful park bench beside a beautiful tree, with not one person sitting on it.
He sits down, closing his eyes and breathing in the fresh air of the day, the wind was blowing but the only thing that was affected by the blowing wind, was Jeongguk's clothes, since his hair was so hardly gelled to his head.
"Hi." A voice interrupts to peace Jeongguk was feeling, causing Jeongguk to open his eyes and turn to the human trying to communicate with him.
It was Yugyeom. Kim Yugyeom to be exact. Jeongguk's only friend since he entered school. A number of reasons for their friendship was; they just got each other, they have a lot of things in common, no friends, both nerds, strict parents, miserable lives, extended vocabulary and knowledge, straight As and high IQs, 17 year old virgins with no experience whatsoever. They both feel like outcasts. So they decided to feel like outcasts together.
Today Yugyeom wears a white button-up and dark blue with white stripes tie, with a maroon jacket and dark blue pants. His black glasses coming down the bridge of his nose and his messy light brown hair covering his pale forehead that hasn't seen the light of day in years.
His overly bulky backpack looked heavy and ridiculous as he sat down on the empty spot beside Jungkook. He had a sneaky grin plastered on his smooth, young face.
Although Jeongguk thought of him as his best and only friend, he always thought Yugyeom was always that little bit more weird, Yugyeom always thought of the most random things and asked the most weirdest questions.
"Oh, Hi Yugyeom." Jeongguk responds, removing his backpack and looking for his food.
"What's up?" Yugyeom wonders, looking at Jeongguk who looked slightly agitated.
"It's just Myungsoo again." Jeongguk replies without hesitation, while searching through his bag.
"I swear, he so annoying." Yugyeom sighs, removing his unnecessarily large backpack.
"Tell me about it." Jeongguk agrees, as Yugyeom pulls out his lunch box.
"What do you have today?" Jeongguk asks.
"Sushi. You?" Yugyeom answers, popping open the lid, showing Jeongguk the fresh sushi.
"Chips." Jeongguk shows Yugyeom his food.
A moment of silence as the two teenagers stare at each other's lunches as their mouths water.
"Trade?" the two say in a unison.
They just got each other.
