Mid-day

Hoseok, with his shiny, chestnut, messy hair and a vintage rock shirt walks into the cafe, seeing Jeongguk sitting by a table, jittery and nervous, tapping his foot rapidly, as he holds on tight to the coffee cup.

Hoseok flashes a half smile without teeth, walking up to Jeongguk, pulling out a seat for himself, "Hello, Gukie." Hoseok smiles, sitting down in front of Hoseok.

Jeongguk looks up at Hoseok, pursing his lips together. It was yesterday when he saw Taehyung, he got no sleep last night, trying to recall all the times he was with Taehyung, not knowing what he did wrong, worrying that he might lose him.

Hoseok slumps back in his chair, looking down at Jeongguk's nervous foot, that was tapping up and down, he reaches for Jeongguk's hand, to calm him, "Hey, you alright?"

Jeongguk flinches at Hoseok's touch, refrain from tapping his foot, looking up at Hoseok, "I just- don't know what I did wrong."

"What do you mean?" Hoseok questions, he was still completely oblivious to Taehyung and Jeongguk's close relationship, not knowing the person Jeongguk liked was actually Taehyung.

"I mean...He disappears for a while, and then, when I finally find him, he tells me to get the fuck out, and leave me alone. I don't even know what I did wrong."

"Are you talking about Taehyung?" Hoseok wonders with worried eyes.

"Yeah, he shouted at my face when I was just trying to help, trying to find out what happened." Jeongguk narrows his eyebrows, rewinding to the memories in his mind.

"Take it easy Guk, I wouldn't blame him, after all his uncle just passed away one day ago." Hoseok states, crossing his leg over the other.

"W-What?"

"You didn't know?" Hoseok raises one eyebrow.

Jeongguk's mouth slightly agape as he looks off to the distance.

"It must be really tough for him, because his uncle was his only family in town, and helped him with his family issues. He loved him dearly, I know it. But keep in mind that he tends to shut people out when he's in that type of emotional state, especially when he needs someone the most, he won't take anyone's help, not even yours by the sound of it." Hoseok explains, seeming to have experience with times Taehyung has been like this.

Jeongguk doesn't know how to react, he felt like he was about to cry or scream. He was angry at himself for not considering what Taehyung must've been through.

"I-I-"

"Gukie, are you---"

"I- got to go." Jeongguk stutters, lifting up from his seat, leaving the coffee cup on the table, picking up his jacket and walking out of the shop, leaving Hoseok by himself.

"But-..." Hoseok mutters, looking back at Jeongguk as he rushes out of the cafe, leaving Hoseok with Jeongguk's half full cup of coffee.

------

Jeongguk runs down that hill like his life depended on it, this time he wasn't taking no for an answer, he will stop at nothing.

He runs to the door of the drug house, hoping that Taehyung would still be where he left him yesterday. He knocks hard on the door, huffing and puffing, as he waited for someone to answer.

The door swings open to the same fuckwit from yesterday, "What do you want? You are not welcome here." He spits in Jeongguk's face, still holding a grudge from Jeongguk pushing past him yesterday.
