Afternoon
Dirt and leaves move with the wind across the footpath, the cold air smelt of dry dirt and mouldy rain, all that could be heard was the sound of the wind and the rustling of leaves.
Jeongguk bursts through the ice cream parlour doors, feeling the warmth on his body from the small heater in the corner that kept the employees happy.
He was early today, Namjoon wasn't here yet, nor was Seokjin. A grin creeps up onto Jeongguk's face. No one annoying him for a few minutes was gold to him.
But if the heater was on and the lights were on, why was there no one to be seen? Jeongguk wonders, walking towards the change room to find the other unknown being in the parlour.
He could smell a familiar smell, he knocks on the closed door and Taehyung bursts out suddenly, his aroma filling Jeongguk's nostrils, it smelt of strong cologne, the familiar scent he remembered.
Taehyung was wearing his work clothes, looking into Jeongguk's innocent eyes, he noticed the usual look Jeongguk was wearing, little black shorts, buttoned up shirt and tie and a hardly gelled down hairstyle.
"You're early." Taehyung starts, breaking the silence.
"Heh, yeah." Jeongguk mumbles awkwardly, although he and Taehyung were similar heights, Taehyung was still that one bit taller, looking slightly down at him.
"Well, get changed then." Taehyung orders, walking past the teen and to the front of the shop to switch the closed sign to open.
Jeongguk nods, heading to the change room and removing his backpack, starting to change into his work clothes.
"Hey, its Gukie." Namjoon speaks, from behind Jeongguk, removing his backpack and smiling Jeongguk's way.
Jeongguk begin to sigh at the presence of Namjoon, "What's with the names?" Jeongguk wonders, tying his apron around his waist.
"What? It suits you." Namjoon chuckles, opening up his locker and humming a tune gleefully.
"Whatever." Jeongguk replies, walking out of the change room.
As soon as Jeongguk was in Taehyung's view, he began to bark orders his way. "Start washing those dishes." Taehyung points.
Jeongguk jumps at the sudden outburst but does what he's told, heading to the sink, beginning to wash up.
Namjoon walks out from the change room, looking out the glass door to see Seokjin outside, parking his bicycle and walking through the front door, the two friends do their secret handshake, giving eachother a quick bro-hug.
"Joon, my dad was going off his head, that's why i'm late." Seokjin sulks, as he walks beside Namjoon to the change rooms
"Aw, not that bastard again." Namjoon says annoyed as they both walk into the change rooms.
Making Jeongguk wonder, why wasn't Taehyung barking orders right now? Seokjin came late and Namjoon is just having a casual talk when he should be working right now.
He decides not to think about it staring into the soapy water, the events from the other day creeping into his mind about the hot shirtless neighbour that caught him staring at his abs. Jeongguk blush at just the thought, usually when he saw another male shirtless he didn't care, because it looked similar to himself, but why was it different now?
Why am I blushing? Because he caught me staring? Because i liked it? Because- "Jeonghyun!" Taehyung yells, interrupting Jeongguk's thoughts.
Jeongguk looks at him confused, was he referring to me?
"Jeonghyun, start serving customers." Taehyung commands clearly talking to Jeongguk, even though the two were still in the back talking.
"Umm, my name's not-"
"Just hurry up! They are waiting!" Taehyung shouts, walking somewhere else afterwards.
He sighs, slipping off his gloves and stepping away from the unfinished dishes.
"Hi ma'am, what would you like today?" Jeongguk asks the woman customer behind the counter.
