Night of the party (pt.1)
It was around 9:00 pm at night, the night was still young, still peaceful. Bright stars fill out the black blank canvas of the night, with the brilliant half moon accompanying them.
Jeongguk and Courtney are sat inside Courtney's small car. She was the one to pick Jeongguk up, since he didn't have his licence.
They were parked out on the street of Hoseok's house, after Taehyung sent Jeongguk the address via text message, you could see the party from afar, just down the street, colourful lights flashing like a disco and up-beat music lowly playing making the cool night less silent, but this street in particular was used to this type of sound, since Hoseok hosted parties nearly every saturday, and was well known for it.
"Okay, now. You said that you were going to answer my questions." Courtney starts, applying black mascara to her plain lashes, as she looks at her reflection in the fold out mirror above her, he was currently waiting for her to 'get ready', annoyed by the fact that she should of done it before she picked him up.
"No, I didn't." Jeongguk replies in a monotone, scrolling through his bright phone which was hard to see through all the cracks it possessed.
"Yeah, you did. Now, i'm going to ask some questions now, and you have to answer them, okay?" Courtney explains, wanting answer from Jeongguk as a part of her deal, looking over at distracted Jeongguk who was to focus on the device in his hands.
Jeongguk doesn't respond, not feeling the need to.
"Are you gay?" Courtney questions instantly, without Gukie's consent, looking deeply at Jeongguk, who wasn't returning the intent eye contact she was giving him.
He looks up and stares at her carelessly, with a bored expression, and then back down at his phone like nothing happened, clearly not amused by her sudden question, he knew that if he asked for her help, he had no choice but to deal with her annoyingness the whole time he was with her.
"Well, are you?" Courtney tries again, shaking her head.
"Jeon Jeongguk!--"
"Fine! Yes!" Jeongguk shouts out of the blue, still not looking at her, he wasn't ashamed of his sexuality, he just didn't feel the need to tell Courtney everything about his life, especially by how fast she is to spread the word.
"I knew it!" she claims smiling widely, closing her mascara and rummaging through his plastic makeup bag.
"How?" Jeongguk wonders looking up at her for once, watching her rummage.
"I don't know, I could just tell." She grins to herself, pulling out an eyeshadow, looking to find the right colour that matched her blue dress, before smearing it on her eyelids, carefully leaning right into the small mirror before her.
"Wait, does that mean who you are trying to make jealous, is a guy?" She wonders excitedly, beady eyes looking up at Jeongguk.
"Yeah." he simply answers, forgetting that he didn't even mention the gender of who he was trying to make jealous.
Courtney laughs, from happiness. "So what am I supposed to do again? Make him jealous to see if he likes you?" She starts to apply lipstick on his lips, looking into the mirror.
"Well... yes." Jeongguk responds, switching off his phone and slipping back into his pocket.
"Plus, he is bringing a girl too." Jeongguk adds, still disgusted by the fact Taehyung was that easy, they exchanged numbers in the blink of an eye. Jeongguk thought he was much better than that, smarter than that.
